Guys so we can this draft done quickly as consensus is we reduce to 16 teams I will be ending out voting for 2 options on how draft should be conducted and to whether we want a mini trade period involving draft picks.

Vinny

So what pick will Owls get in the draft of the folded teams?  I cannot be stuffed reading the last two pages. :P

It came literally after I posted, all good I get it now.

I'm only an assistant in this comp but would like to share my thoughts, as an ex coach.

I would like to see the recylced draft go ahead asap so that teams can sort out their trades.

This will add 1 player to all lists and push every team over the cap, so i suggest that teams delist 1 player after selecting someone from that draft (1 for 1).

Also are these picks up for trading??

The NAt and Rookie draft will then be done but i dont think that the bottom 4 teams need a priority pick as they have boosted their squads with their picks from the recycled draft

I do prefer the idea of picking from the recycled draft and then delisting? Is that the plan?

How can we be sure the player/s we want or need (esp the poor teams) will be available. Taking the best available might be the only option?

JBs-Hawks

Trades arent 1 for 1 this year are they? Delisting can wait til whichever draft its due before?

I dont see the point of a trade period before the recycle draft just get the draft over and done with and people can go into proper trade mode.

The pre-recycle draft trade period would work like the AFL mini drafts with GWS.

So we could use Pick 1 as trade bait (because someone else really wanted Jobe Watson for example) so we can improve our team.

JBs-Hawks

You can just pick him and trade him in the trade period

I like the idea, but will be interesting to see what deals get done. What would someone give up for #1?

Ringo

Trades for Trade Period One are unlimited that is not one for one. Trade Period 2 will be one for one.

Delistings required before trading commences so Rookie Draft list may be sorted as these picks may be value trading resources given all left over players(including recycled players) are in Rookie Draft not the National Draft

Vinny

Ringo, I'll be away from 26th to the 5th of September. Nothing is happening between that time correct?

Means I will not be there for the voting of coaches and the awards night.

SydneyRox

So we are going to do the recycled draft before trading/delisting?
