Heater - you were the only one who answered my quasi-dumb comment about rooks on the bench - so thanks.

I've noticed that everyone talks about guns & the rooks.....but really, its the mids that will dictate, at least initially - how well your trades can be down the line.

As with this site - and say BF......do most posters NOT talk about their supposed gems/faves/etc, and just talk about the same players over & over again - so much so that you have 100 people in a room, and all 100 have a dif opinion - and at the end of the day readers are just even more lost?

tks, s.

Marcus

Guns score consistent 100s and are the key component to a team.
People talk so much about them because they are the most vital part of the team. If your guns don't fire (excuse the pun) then your team won't score the 2000+ points needed to do well in this competition.
Therefore everyone is obsessing about who will be the safest bet for them.
Rookies are the next most important as the increase the most in value. They are the cash cows you use to upgrade to your high scoring guns.
People talk less about mids because unless they turn into guns, they will need to be traded in to acheive 22 guns by the end of the SC season. It is much better to bet on a cheap/rookie that you know will rise in price and you can swap for $$$ than on a more expensive mid you hope will have a breakout season.
As for your last question I talk about whatever people post about. Generally people have the same questions over the popular players.
Their gems they want to keep to themselves and the obvious faves are already looked in.
The opinions you are reading you have to be careful with. Just sift the 1 liner spam out and grab the actual information. Ignore who they recommend but read why. Then you can analyze the points yourself and make your own decision.

Good Question & also well answered Marcus. You have to remember that this is a comp & as said some people require help, others want opions, & some just post negative comment,BUT @ the end of the day/start of comp it's your decision & you are in it to win.
I myself have NOT posted my team as also a lot of people have done the same.Again my decision as above.
So in the beginning get some guns or go with rookies or go with both.
Prime example price of Ablett, too dear or not too dear. Look @ his game last night & if Cap'n double points, his price gone down, of course not would rise & then you kick yourself for not having him, but has a shocker goes down. The choice to have or not to have.
Hope this helps,    AS
