Praying that Pendles and SJ will be back. Have Miles to cover for one of them. Have 2 trades left and will get Barlow/Libba/Ward. Priddis too expensive for me.

Pendles will be mate, not so sure about SJ though, still big doubts over him. Wouldn't be getting Ward either mate, he's gone for next week if his expression tells you anything, and what the diagnosis is which is either ankle/calf.
You'd have to go Barlow..
Yeah just heard about Ward mate. Yeah Barlow prob the best option.

Of course we're going through a rebuild? But in 3-4 years we will have a list to have a good crack and I mean that.

Pendles, Cloke, Sidey, Beams, Reid, Toovey, Lumumba, Young, Brown, Fasolo, Macaffer, Dwyer, Goldsack, White etc are only 22-28 years old and will be coming/entering their primes, plus we have youngsters such as -

Broomhead, Martin, Elliot, Grundy, Witts, Langdon, Freeman, Scharenberg, Frost, Seedsman, Williams, BenKen, Adams, J Thomas, Keefe, Armstrong, Sinclair, Karnezis, Marsh who will all be regulars in that time period. If we can develop blokes to be as good as Sidey/Beams/Pendles are/were at 22/23 we will be a very good team, and all these blokes can play across the field. And, most of these blokes have experienced senior footy and have been severely exposed in the last 24 months.

Add in the fact that Scharenberg and Freeman haven't debuted at senior level yet, and were both top 10 picks and we will be a scary side in 5 years.

And Pendles/Beams/Sidey will continue to pump out 120sc+ scores for echelons to come 8)

Hey wato just saying a few weeks back they were a top 4 chance they look shot there key back men are injured all the time there mids don't look look like 2 or 3 years back and they have far to many midget type players that don't perform , I put the captain on Pendles thinking they would give the Lions a fair touch up but even with Pendles a late out they should have done better than that they copped a flogging from a team with a handful of good players at home REBUILD

So how do you respond to Reid, Brown, Cloke and Elliot all out of the best 22 aswell buddy.. Maxwell retired halfway through the year and Brown gone also for the year.. Armstrong played two games of footy..

We have the third youngest list in the comp, yet doing better than GWS and GC below us. You take way each clubs best five players (structurally) and see how much they struggle.

For example -
Sydney wouldn't be as good without Buddy, Tippett, JPK, Jack and Malceski
Fremantle without Pav, Fyfe, Barlow, Mcpharlin, Sandi
Geelong without Hawkins, Taylor, Selwood, Stevie J, Bartel

It's a pretty big loss to have 5 of our best players out mate, and Brisbane aren't a bad team. We had one rotation for 50 minutes of footy, you just can't deal with that in today's game. To be honest, the flogging yesterday was due to lack of personnel, in all due respect to Brisbane,. However I'm not saying with them playing it would've changed the outcome.

Vinny

Unfortunately Collingwood have an unlimited list of gun youth. :(

Hoarding all the midfielders....Kyle Martin... :P

Hey wato I am not having a crack at the Pies for no reason but those players you said for the Pies hardly compare with players with other clubs you have put up , some are getting on in age but I'm talking about ability , Pendles ( one of the best ) Sidey , Beams apart from really young guys I don't see much

Vinny

Pies are arguably rebuilding right now, honestly I think this is pretty much their rebuild. They've pretty much bottomed out.

I can't believe you're comparing one of the proudest and strongest clubs in the AFL with the 2 new comers.

The Pies are well and truly cooked.

What's an echelon? Is it long?  :P

Mr.Craig

I don't think Collingwood will be reaching the upper echelon for eons.  ;)
