The Eagles will get better too

With so many teams in XVs and not much forwards, he is a starter in any team

Like I said, you need to look beyond averages and age. Position and the impact of not having starters in those positions are huge factors too. JJK has recently turned 27. He has 5 years of solid footy to go

IMO the trade was spot on in terms of fairness and benefit for both teams involved

If I had Treloar I wouldn't even write his name on our player list. I'd never trade him  :P

Sometimes you need to make a big call and trade someone you normally wouldn't for the betterment of the overall team and it's long term future. Only time will tell, but it's decisions like this that could be defining

This isn't a trade for your long term future. This is a short term fix. In fact most of your trades are... but I don't have an issue with that, as I have no problems with teams wanting to compete now.

If Berlin offered me JJK and Duffield for Wines I would probably turn it down.

Averaged 79 this season. Eagles getting better isn't enough to say he is a premium. He is 50th forward in the comp.

JJK kicked 11 against GWS boosted his average again.

I understand that it suits your team needs but imo Treloar is worth far more than that because he is only 21. Duffield is nearly done too. If the 24 wasn't included I think it is far enough to pass.

I think you are making a fix for 2 years that won't do you any good long term but thats up to you.

The trade is done so no point in this just saying what I thought. :P

Perhaps you would turn it down because Wines is your best player. We already have Stevie J, Libba, Duncan and Macrae for starting mids, so giving up Treloar to get starting defenders and forwards was what we had to do

I've explained all the reasoning behind the trade, and it makes perfect sense. Anyone who disagrees still after all of that, then I couldn't care. The trade is done :)

Funny how it's the bottom 2 teams who are having a go at us for this trade....

We have made trades that will get us out of the bottom 4 and into the top 4. Our list wont have any players retire for the next few years too and we have plenty of young players.

If you guys are making decisions that will benefit your team in 5 years time, and get smashed until then, then that is your choice

If every coach coached the same, then the comp would be boring. Just because you might have a view on something another team is doing, doesn't mean its right

No, I just don't know why you are having a go in the first place. The trade was passed and both teams involved in the trade are happy with it. Anything outside of that is irrelevant

I don't care whether JJK ranked 50th. When the 49 forwards before him are not being offered to us (with a starting defender) then what can we do?

Dusty, Gray, Buddy etc where not going to be traded by their owners. JJK works well for what we were looking for
