Trade 1
Buenos Aires give: Michael Barlow + Jarryd Lyons
Pacific give: NAT Picks 2 + 4 + 22 + 58

Votes Against: 2

Coach comments: The 2 that voted against thought it was too much in favour of Buenos Aires.

Admin Comment: Honestly thought that this would get more heat, either for the fact that Buenos Aires are giving away two of its less geriatric players, or the fact the Islanders are giving up almost all its picks! I probably would've passed it though had it gone through to me, but it would've been a tough decision.

Final Result: PASSED

Trade 2
New York Give: Harley Bennell + Aaron Black + Will Hoskin-Elliott + Craig Moller
Dublin Give: Michael Walters + Josh Green + Pick 21 + Pick 39 + Pick 57

Votes Against: 5

Coach comments: The coaches that voted against thought that Harley Bennell's worth is being understated in this trade. While recognising that New York needs forwards, they were concerned that New York are giving away too much.

Admin Comment: I'm a huge Harley Bennell fan, and I think is even a sneaky chance (not likely) of forward status next year. Feel this trade is a 1 step forward, 2 steps back kind of deal for New York. I vote against.

Final Result: REJECTED. New York needs to lower price.

Trade 3
Moscow trade: Callum Sinclair and 4th Round Pick
London trade: Joe Daniher

Votes Against: 14

Coach comments: Overwhelming response from coaches, feeling that Daniher's potential and younger age far outweighs Sinclair's potential.

Admin Comment: Have to agree with the coaches. You've gotta look at AFL results and age, and Daniher's are superior on both counts. Recognise that London need a ruck, but Sinclair isn't a slam dunk in that regards.

Final Result: REJECTED. Moscow paying too low a price for Daniher.

Trade 4
New York Give: Allen Christensen + Pick 26
Mexico City Give: Mark Blicavs + Jarrad Waite + Jed Adcock + Pick 73

Votes Against: 2

Coach comments: The 2 that voted against believe it is heavily based in New York's favour.

Admin Comments: I like this trade, boosters up one side with some temp fixes, and youthens another. Would have passed if I had the say.

Final Result: PASSED

Trade 5
Seoul trade: Pick 10 and Eli Templeton
New York trade: Trent McKenzie and Jed Anderson

Votes Against: 3

Coach comments: A belief here that New York are being underdone here by the 3 coaches who voted against. Particularly thinking that McKenzie will return to form after injury concerns.

Admin comments: Thought about this one hard, I also think that McKenzie is a better player. Anderson/Templeton you could argue cancel each other out, while McKenzie for Pick 10 could also be argued the same. I'll let it pass, tentatively.

FINAL RESULT: PASSED

Trade 6
New York Give: Pick 8 + Pick 21 (from Dublin) + Shaun Atley
Buenos Aires Give: Steve Johnson

Voted against: 6

Coach comments: Believe New York are paying too much for an old Steve Johnson.

Admin comments: Inclined to believe that effectively giving up 3 young players for Steve Johnson is too much. Would probably have rejected it, but it was going to get rejected anyway because of the Trade 2 reject.

Final Result: REJECTED. Twice. Once based on the fact that Trade 2 was rejected, with New York no longer having Pick 21. The other that it was voted against by the coaches.

Trade 7
New York Give: Anthony Morabito + Pick 80
PNL Give: Heath Grundy + Aidan Corr

Votes against: 0

Coach comments: Nil

Admin comments: Fine

Final Result: PASSED

Trade 8
New York Give: Courtney Dempsey + Scott Lycett
Tokyo Give: Dawson Simpson + Kurt Tippett

Votes against: 0

Coach comments: Nil

Admin comments: A big trade this one, but not controversial at all!

Final Result: PASSED

Trade 9
Beijing give: Pick #41 (International Draft)
Pacific give: Cameron Wood

Votes against: 1

Coach comments: Believed that Cam Wood was worth a lot more than pick #41

Admin comments: Think a fair bargain given job security issues when Kreuzer comes back

Final Result: PASSED

Trade 10
Pacific give: Brad Sheppard
London give: Rory Laird

Voted against: 0

Coach comments: Nil

Admin comments: Meh

Final Result: PASSED

Trade 11
Cairo give: Clancee Pearce, Kyle Hartigan, Lewis Johnston and Sam Kerridge
New Delhi give: Matt White, Rhys Palmer and Pick 60

Votes against: 1

Coach comments: Believe Clancee Pearce and Sam Kerridge have too much potential for this price

Admin comments: Spud trading is tasty

Final Result: PASSED

Trade 12
Cairo give: Nick Malceski, Seb Tape and Pick 49
PNL give: Chris Dawes, Matt Thomas and Pick 33

Votes against: 1

Coach comment: Malceski's value huge according to the 1 coach that rejected it

Admin comments: No real issue, think this trade has a clear winner, but not enough to do anything about it

Final Result: PASSED

Trade 13
New York give: Pick 44
Mexico City give: Michael Firrito

Votes against: 0

Coach comments: Nil

Admin comments: ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! (jokes)

Final Result: PASSED

Trade 14
New York give: Mark Blicavs and Darcy Lang
Cape Town give: Nathan Vardy and Jamie Bennell

Votes against: 1

Coach comments: Coach rejected it based on it being a 'nothing' trade

Admin comments: None

Final Result: PASSED

Trade 15
Buenos Aires Dildos trade: Shaun Burgoyne
Sao Paulo Poomas trade: Mitch Wallis

Votes against: 1

Coach comments: Wallis youth believed to be worth more in this trade

Admin comments: Seems a win win

Final Result: PASSED

Trade 16
New York give: Pick 10, Tom Nicholls and Ben Griffiths
New Dehli give: Mitch Duncan and Pick 24

Votes against: 2

Coach comments: Of the 2 coaches, one thought New York won by too much, the other thought New Delhi won by too much

Admin comments: Not a huge fan of this one really, kind of think Duncan is a superstar in the making, but fine.

Final Result: PASSED

Trade 17
Dublin trade: Charlie Dixon + Jack Watts
Berlin trade: Dayne Zorko + Pick 12

Votes against: 2

Coach comments: Believe that Berlin are giving away far too much

Admin comments: A risky trade in my opinion, but could pay off. Also think Berlin giving away a lot. Reminds me a bit like the Clark/Fyfe for Dal Santo/Franklin (and other players in it also) trade. Berlin desperately needed more Melbourne players :P

Final result: PASSED

Trade 18
Pacific give: Jason Johanissen + NAT pick 41
Tokyo give: Alex Fasolo + NAT pick 81

Votes against: 1

Coach comments: Believe that Johanissen is worth far more than Fasolo, meaning pick swap doesn't make sense

Admin comments: No real issue, also think a clear winner

Final result: PASSED

Trade 19
Dublin give: Ciaryn Sheehan + Kieran Harper
Mexico give: Daniel Currie + Pick 91

Votes against: 0

Coach comments: 0

Admin comments: 0

Final result: PASSED

Trade 20
Moscow trade: Heath Shaw
New York trade: Luke McDonald and David Armitage

Votes against: 5

Coach comments: A strong belief that Heath Shaw at his age isn't worth McDonald's youth and potential, let alone the addition of Armitage.

Admin comments: This is a very tough one. New York have gone short term fix for the loss of a star player with potential like McDonald. Might be controversial, but think the trade is too one sided. Think either Armitage needs to be removed, or something added for Heath Shaw.

Final result: REJECTED

Trade 21
Toronto Trade: Ben Brown and NAT #50
Cairo Trade: Richard Douglas

Votes against: 0

Coach comments: Nil

Admin comments: Confused that roo boys traded out a North Melbourne player

Final result: PASSED

Trade 22
Cairo trade: Andrew Carrazzo, Jamie Cripps and Charlie Cameron
Tokyo trade: Sam Mitchell and Pick 45

Votes against: 0

Coach comments: Nil

Admin comments: Interesting trade this one, thought it would have some nays, fine with me. Think one side a clear winner

Final result: PASSED

Trade 23
Dublin trade: Robbie Gray
Moscow trade: Dustin Martin

Votes against: 3

Coach comments: Some coaches irritated that his seemed a nothing trade with no team gaining.

Admin comments: Seems a fair trade, so why not.

Final result: PASSED

Trade 24
Pacific give: Phil Davis + pick 76
Cairo give: Michael Rischitelli + Matt Thomas

Votes against: 0

Coach comments: Nil

Admin comments: Think a win-win

Final result: PASSED

Trade 25
Mexico City Suns give: Biggs + Cutler + Lemmens
Buenos Aires Dildos give: Scott D. Thompson + Pick #36

Votes against: 3

Coach comments: Believe that Scott Thompson is worth more than what is on offer.

Admin comments: Not hugely confident on this one myself, but will begrudgingly let it pass

Final result: PASSED

Trade 26
Moscow trade: Jonathon Ceglar
Seoul trade: Hayden Ballantyne + Nat 28

Votes against: 1

Coach comments: Believed this heavily favoured to Moscow

Admin comments: Think this is a one sided trade personally, but not enough to neg even if I wanted to.

Final result: PASSED

Trade 27
Seoul Give: Gibbs
Seoul Recieve: Jack Ziebell + Aaron Black + Nat 12
Toronto Give: Jack Ziebell
Toronto Recieve: David Mundy + Nat 75
Dublin Give: David Mundy + Aaron Black + Nat 12 + Nat 75
Dublin Get: Bryce Gibbs

Votes Against: 4

Coach comments: Believe that Seoul give up way too much.

Admin comments: My issue with this trade is not so much that Seoul are giving away a lot (I think it is fair), but I think Ziebell/Mundy is a bit uneven. I probably would have let it through in the end though, but....

Final Result: REJECTED, based on the fact Trade 2 was rejected with Aaron Black not actually at Dublin.

Great that these two trades passed but to the coaches who negged them - are you flowering serious?

You negged trades just because they don't seem to benefit any team or in your opinion are 'nothing trades'?

In my opinion there should be no way on earth that you should vote against a fair trade because of that reason.

Seriously wtf?

Nige

Rather intrigued by the comments on our trades.  :P

kilbluff1985

so coaches rejected the Dusty/Gray trade because nobody loses or gains anything?

wtf

Ricochet

Trades should only be rejected if they are grossly one sided :-\

Nige

Lord ossie85 should solely rule on trades.

Should hopefully stop most of the doging.  8)

Trades should only be rejected if they are grossly one sided :-\

And I think the trades that were actually rejected, were significantly one sided.

I want all coaches to have a say in the future of the comp, and I don't want the drama all on me!

kilbluff1985

that's why you get a trades committee ossie so people can appeal your decision if they not happy then the committee decides

Sorry rejected was the wrong word, meant negged.

Well, if the admin rules on the decision, then there won't be shower between coaches saying 'wtf, you rejected this because x and this guy should have passed because y'.

If they don't like the job the admin is doing, then either there's no comp or you should hand it over to them for a while and see how they cope.  :P

Ricochet

What's wrong with the way its run now? Has been working fine. Just people complaining sometimes but that will happen no matter what the system is

Jukes

flower this shower, why would you neg a trade that isn't completely one-sided that all FOUR coaches involved are happy with. Pathetic form you spuds/ The Daniher one was acceptable I guess but the second to be negged was beyond belief

I bet if I was losing them you'd be only too happy to pass those trades

Quote from: Jukes on September 09, 2014, 03:08:06 PM
Ok then if that trade is uneven, I'm going to neg every non-moscow trade from now on.
And I thought I was mad when I said this!

That's pretty much my point haha.

It seems like no matter what happen there's always at least one person who wants to dog and moan about something even if it's the smallest thing.

People are carrying on over negged/rejected trades, get over it. Just renegotiate it, it's not difficult... especially since you obviously spent even the smallest amount of time arranging the deal to begin with.

RaisyDaisy

Let it be known that we neg'd 2 trades

That's it - Just 2, and one of them was the Daniher one which Jukes has since improved

Flowering joke how many trades got neg'd, especially how many of ours, and the flow on impact it has made

What a waste of time

RaisyDaisy

Agree, the system needs to be changed

Do you think North Melbourne get a say in terms of what trade Collingwood and Hawthorn comes to terms with?

As long as there is no tanking, then other coaches shouldnt have a say over trades they are not involved in, IMO of course :P
