Master Q

Is Holz actually arguing for fun or is he just trying to make himself feel like he is as good of a coach as Meow?

Plot twist: Holz and Meow are the same person.

Let's see next year what happens.

Jroo is looking like my main competition at this stage. Had a very very good off season.

Meow is a great drafter.

Holz

Gilbert v Sandi is debatable but I can ensure the difference in value of Rocky Gibbs is bigger.

Gibbs Sandi for Rocky I would reject aswell

:o

btw kinda funny when i was at Tokyo we were considering a deal which involved pick 9 for Sandi which i think is about right for Sandi so it's pretty funny you don't think Gibbs + Sandi is worth Rocky

How long ago was that though? Unless I had zero ruck stocks, no chance I'd give up pick 9 for Sandi

Just renegotiate the deal,  It's really not that hard.  ::)

3 coaches say I win, 2 coaches + Os say I lose. It is actually very difficult to renegotiate the deal based on that.

Based on opinions expressed so far it looks like these 3 are in the minority. Rocky is THE most valuable player in the comp. Puts up Ablett-like scores while being 6 years younger. We're severely undervaluing him. Old, injury prone Sandi is worth a late first/early 2nd round pick, Gibbs is premium but not Rocky-level premium, so putting those two together is pretty much equal to GOAT. I'll need to add a little something just so it's 2 for 2.

We didn't neg the trade but this seems the most logical way to get the trade passed.

edit: just saw the revised deal.. should pass

3 Coaches were probably drunk when voting.  Get mexico to add some token pick#20-30  and problem solved.
Personally think the trade helps Mexico more than it helps Christchurch.  Sure for one season it might favour Christchurch, but over the next three it does not.

edit...posted before seeing the revised trade deal.

Replacing Sicily for Gilbert, as worth less and Christchurch need defenders, in order for this trade to pass.

This might open a whole new can of worms but I actually rate Sicily more than I do Gilbert.

Previously we passed the deal. Now? Hmm....

I also think with trade voting the neg votes should cancel out if they are on different sides.

Like if 5 people think Team A wins the trade and 5 people think Team B wins the trade and the rest pass it then instead of there being 10 votes against it should be 0 votes against...

I don't think you can block it purely on opinion. Gilbert should play for 2-3 years at 70+ and that can almost be put down as a fact. Sicily hasn't played one AFL game yet so to say he is worth more than Gilbert is 100% opinion. While he has plenty of talent, Sicily is no certainty to make it at AFL level.
