Griffen is a proven premium midfielder. Greenwood has not shown premium output for a midfielder. We passed the trade (and passed all trades this week)

The picks even the trade up IMO. dunno how it passes without Toronto giving up the picks.

But can also see why it was negged, take out the other pick, with just Pick 14 it isn't bad enough and looks fine I reckon.

My Chumps

Nah, this one's got me absolutely perplexed.

You might think Moscow are winning a touch but not enough for it to get negged. When Oss first said that it was blocked I thought it would've been the other way around. Like what the hell do people expect to pick up with pick #32?

Last three pick 32's for WXV:

Riley Knight
Marco Paparone - note that this is after he was delisted by NY in an equally perplexing decision by then coach Pyro
Jordan Lockyer

Paparone the only one with real value right now. Too early to tell on Knight and Lockyer's been delisted. If 32 was the sole reason you blocked the trade and you believe that Griff for Greenwood + #14 is fair then we're on completely different wavelengths.

Really depends how you use the pick. Can easily say picks in the 40/50s are worth alot as well since Miles and Jaensch were picked up with some last season :-X.

Nige

You can find value at any point in the draft.

There's every chance that Pick 32 in this year's draft could be the best of the lot.  ;)

Looking for some draft picks in the top 40 range and have Lloyd Perris, Will Hams, Trent West, Nick O'brien, Daniel Flynn, Tim Golds, Alex Browne, Dylan Van Unen, Seb Ross, Jesse Lonergan, Broughton, Tayte Pears on offer. Still also looking for a premium defender and all those players + picks available.

But it is no stretch of the imagination a guarantee. I mean, it's barely worth a thing, especially if the coach giving Greenwood believes that he can't use the picks.

Regardless though, I hardly think the trade is THAT unfair that it warrants negging, but that's all I'll say on that.

Jroo

I think the thing is, everybody rates draft picks differently.

I'd rate Griff ahead of Greenwood and I didn't think it was a bad trade. But I can see why it was negged, averages were similar this year and Levi is a few years younger, when you look at it that way.

kilbluff1985

yeah some people value picks over like 40 to highly if they block a trade because a 40+ pick makes it uneven i never understand this they are worth hardly anything

Torpedo10

This is bullshower, more reasoning to come.

All we need is Lez.

Holz

It's nice to kick back and relax with my trade passing.

Good change.

Can watch the skirmish in peace.

Vinny

Tbf, Asians trade was 1000x worse. :P

Ricochet

Asians was fine, until someone crossed the line with that PM.
