Then what does negging trades because Dublin is getting too strong mean?
I think the major difference is that it seems to me that JROO, while improving the Mexico XV has gone about his business a lot more quietly and isn't really recruiting names rated as highly as the guys Holz has (or that we've seen).

They've both done okay this off-season, but then I think the fact that Holz is a lot more open and vocal about it doesn't help his cause.

This is another one of those situations where I'm struggling to articulate my thoughts on the situation.  :P My two cents anyway.

people like Jroo

people dont like Holz

;P

Ringo

They can be negged because Holz is giving away too much which is probably the case this week whereas in some cases can be argued not giving enough and wins the trade too much.  Just differing coaches opinions coaches who have thought previous trades fair now think that Holz is offering too much and vice versa with coaches thinking Holz not giving enough now think this one fair.

That should be completely irrelevant through when judging a trade. You can't neg Holz's trades cause it's Holz. That's pathetic.

Good question JB. The guys that are negging can't seem to come on and put up a case. :P

Haha yeah I reckon that's it  :P

Nah, idk teams are probably just scared of Dublin a lot more than Mexico.

Nige

I think what Ringo said is kinda what I've been trying to say.

With the exception of that Deledio deal with Wellington, I don't think any other Mexico trade has been contentious.

One reason I can think of for the Holz being Holz thing is probably because of his ego.

Vinny

Yeah Ringo, that's reason this week which is fair enough. They just gotta adjust the trade and go back like they did and it should pass but I'm saying those two coaches that said "Dublin are getting too strong." That's a problem I reckon.

False, I dislike everybody equally :).

I've always said the trade voting is biased as it depends hugely on how people RATE players personally, as doubt people will look at things objectively, especially on youngsters. Some people may rate one player but others may not (e.g. Malceski for example due to age/inconsistency/injury past vs scoring potential/defender/stats this year) so somehow need to be a bit more objective which is likely impossible.

Nige

I still think we should go with the option of Holz coaching every team and having his own way. That way there's nothing to worry about.  :P No other coaches to neg his trades, nobody to stop him from recruiting (insert name here) and he can still build the mega list.  :o

Eh, Holz and I have had this chat.

Basically the fact that he's very open about how he feels and his plans and all that and isn't afraid to banter and stuff like that it sometimes across the wrong way.  :P

Holz

Another interesting day in the WXV Dublin Talk thread.

ohh wait did i get that right

Memphistopheles

Battersby delisted  :o

Vinny

I don't get it, the aim is to build the ultimate team not be mildly competitive. You play to win.

Banter is good, we just got many who get butthurt and can't take a hit. :P

Again, no reason to neg a trade, that's stupid.
