No trade ever is, but it has to be pretty reasonable for both sides, cannot be a clear winner and loser in a trade.

Holz gave up two draft picks that are never gonna make his best 15 for a 20 ppg increase on his teams output.

A trade should never be negged if holz is deemed to 'lose'. The man knows what hes doing  more then any of us bar maybe meow and hb

Really no trade should be negged if that is your view. 

Every trade needs some balance, I'm not just going to just pass a trade because someone knows what they are doing (even though I know that Holz knows what he is doing)

If Dublin getting stronger is bad for the comp, how is he meant to trade, he isn't gonna trade to lose? He lost in this trade and people complain. He wins people complain. Holz can't win. :P

Pick 9 is surely worth a lot more than second string ruck and an unproven player in McCarthy

Heck, Guthrie is worth more than Longer and McCarthy.

Says the team that traded McKenzie for pick 10 - by far the most one sided trade that has been passed this period :-X

Longer is a 21 year old ruck that played 16 games this season. He's pretty damn valuable.

McCarthy was taken with Pick#15 last year, don't you think a pre-season and a year of development is worth an increase in picks?  Longer for Guthrie is more than fair, considering the lack of Rucks and the amount of Mids in the player pool.

Not for pick 9 no way, maybe another pick in the 30's instead

Guthrie gets games at the cats and Longer (when Hickey plays) does not at St Kilda.

I pass everything, we've got 18 teams with very competent coaches. Not like any of the people here are ignorant.
