I have Parker,Mcveigh,Malcevski and JPK and am abit worried with no trades left.Surely the bye a few weeks ago was the rest they needed.

Yes they will, st Kilda,wb,rich they will have top two locked up by rd 23
I have Parker, mcveigh, buddy, and definitely won't touch another sydney player.....hence why I spent $ for rockliff this week rather than jpk

No they won't. Top 2 isn't stitched up yet, especially with Geelong breathing down their neck on the exact same amount of points.

They won't take their foot off the accelerator at all in the next few weeks unless it is something major.

hawks are most likely going to go 3-0 to finish, cats 2-0 which means Swans need 3-0 to ensure we get 2nd as well!

not going to rest anyone. aside from taking care with players like they did with smith on the weekend.

I would be shocked if they do.. they never have from memory.. the only potential 'rest' could be Buddy but I highly doubt it

Hopefully your right,I was just thinking even if they did rest players they still have the saints covered.but who knows look what happened to the dockers when they got cute 2 weeks ago.

Should be fine.. I'm relying on Parker, McVeigh, JPK, Jack and Franklin to play for the rest of the season

I'm a richmond supporter and I want Jacobs and sloane to score well but not to well so hopefully all swans play.

I brought this point up about 6 weeks ago when I noticed that this will be semi-final weekend in fantasy.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of the mids misses. Since Hanners has already had an extended time away i'm interested to see if JPK or Parker will get a rest. Jack and McVeigh have spent time at either ends of the ground so their midfield mins will already be down. Horse last year said the mids ran out of puff through the finals. He won't want to make that mistake again.

Mailman the 2nd

They ran out of puff because they were all injured and lost like 4 games in a row before the finals having to face Hawthorn twice in a row.

Longmire has never rested players before and there are 3 teams all with the same amount of wins competing for 2 spots?

Absolutely no way it will happen. All of them will play

THE SYDNEY Swans will resist the temptation to rest any players ahead of the looming finals campaign.

It has become common practice in recent years for some top-four clubs to rest players in late-season fixtures in a bid to freshen them up for finals.

Ross Lyon has been the chief advocate, employing the strategy in 2009, 2010 and 2013 with his St Kilda and Fremantle sides, while Alastair Clarkson also rested several senior Hawthorn players against Gold Coast in 2011.

On those occasions, those clubs were all but secure in their ladder positions a blessing the Swans dont currently enjoy.

The second placed Swans are battling Hawthorn and Geelong for a top two finish, so coach John Longmire wont be taking any chances, starting with St Kilda this week.

Have you seen the ladder? Longmire said.

No, we make sure we play our best available squad and if we need to freshen them up, theyl l miss a training session, as they've done during the course of the year.

If we feel as though theyre a bit sore, thats what we'll do.

But come game day, we try to play the best available team that weve got.

We do that every week and I'm sure between now and the end of the year it ll be the same.

NO-one can say for sure. Especially as there is a "grey" area - where a player (such as Buddy for e.g) can theoretically play, is fit to play but has a "niggle" that they don't want to risk with finals around the corner.

In normal circumstances said player would play - but in this case they may not. We'll see I guess!
