Is Trading out SJ crazy?

Ross Lyon recently confirmed Crowley tags SJ. SJ is horrible when Crowley tags him. Add to this, next week he faces Carlton. This is even uglier than Freo. In the last 5 years against Carlton SJs best score is 92, with an avg of 72.

I have 4 trades left. I value overall and league equally (I am in qualifying finals in all my cash leagues).
Is it worth a luxury trade here? I would probably have to get SJ back in for his final 2 games if I did.
That leaves 2 trades to use over the 3 weeks after this one. Is that too little, or is this exactly what I should be using them for?

For the record, my replacement options are Sidebottom or Ward.

No way would you trade him out for one game just to bring him back in again. You'd be better off using a trade to make cash and then a second trade to upgrade a rookie so you could just bench SJ, giving you a loophole option going forward. Not that I recommend that either. SJ is in heeeeeaps of teams so unless you think it will cost you the game, just hold.

He has poor record against his next 2 opponents so its not crazy. However you need to keep a trade in hand to get him back for the Prelim and GF if you get that far as he destroys his last 2 opponents

At this time of the season, yes I would say crazy.

With ample trades, probably less so.

Surely there are better ways to spend your trades?!

Is 4 ample? It's 1 trade a week here on out. I don't want to horde them either.

I have no cash grab options unfortunately. My team is complete, but I have a bunch of non-playing rookies. Most specifically, I have no cover in the back-line. I have Zak Jones and Aylett. I could trade one of these guys out to another option, as a late-withdrawal could mean a donut. I don't like this as much as there's no good options (<250k). I'd only get a 40-50 ppg player.

One of my main motivations is chasing down another guy in overall (the league awards $400 for league winner, $200 for most points in the season), I'm 36 pts behind, with only 3 uniques each. So a 4th would be big.

All this said, I don't know if I have the balls to do it. Ross Lyon could be talking crap and tag Jelwood instead and/or Stevie J could fire up... right?
