People complaining about trades clearly do not rate their own team very much as they haven't traded in who they wanted to keep themselves competitive :o

Relevant to this thread I think.

I ask the people this: If nrich can't trade his good players now, what's he supposed to do? How would you guys go about rebuilding the Dongs? I think he's taking the right path because really, there isn't much else he can do when a majority of coaches have no interest in older players.

He can trade out whomever he wants, but the trades are not even. That's the issue.
  It's not just about who the Dongs sell, it's also about the Lambs paying a correct price.

     We have to be playing under the same conditions
  Stanton = #10
  Montagna=#43
      So Stants+Joey= #10+#43
 
  Yet  #14+Casboult can't buy Mundy   why?   Stanton 28yo 133avg > Mundy 29yo 125avg
       Let's say Casboult= #20,  (#14+#20 > #10+#43)

   So Mundy is worth more then Stanton+Montagna

However it doesn't work like this

Each trade must be judged on each teams merit, if I traded Mundy for a forward, would've left us short in the midfield therefore trade cannot be accepted. We ended up trading in Douglas for Mundy so we still got our forward (Menzel) and still kept a good midfielder!

Ok that's fine, I'm cool with that..
    So what Midfielder did the Dongs get back in to replace Stanton and Montagna in that trade?  Or has the Dongs not been left short in the Midfield now?

Instead of slinging around names like is your standard practice. Why dont you go over to the trade thread and try and use some facts as to why lewis is worth so much more then stanton.

Exactly the dongs trade out there starting midfielders for chips whereas a premiership contender trades one out and has able back up yet that trade gets rejected because he isnt getting enough  in return

Already explained how trades differ from team to team, it's based on a needs for each team. You want me to explain something I have no say or control over? Keep on whinging though, it will get you more supporters

Stanton is 28 and has 5 years left. And you wont get nothing by keeping them you will get chances in games this year. Chances to win games and not just be pumped every week. Also by saying you a rebuilding means hey guys i want to trade my old guys come at me with low offers im pretty desperate to get rid of my guys. Do it more subtly and less desperately and you might actually get decent value.

I just showed how the trades suited each team and it supports my argument....

Old guys aren't worth much in this game, I need to trade out guys like Montagna or else I wont get anything for them.

Last time I heard pick 42 is better than nothing.

If you dont like the competition then leave, its that simple.
