I thought the burgoyne one was more contentious ???
Yeah, if anything, I could see how this would be more contentious. But if no-one wants him, likely due to the fact that he's old, then clearly people don't value him, so it's a fair trade.

And we rate Woodward extremely highly, and Nige is pretty decent with his NAT picks, so we're happy there.

So Burgoyne is going to be a mid only next year?

50/50

I personally think he'll keep def status but others think he'll lose it.

Bob Murphy will be leaving the club by the end of the week! PM me if you want him at your club. Already had a couple of offers.

I'm after quality youth or draft picks. He can be packaged up with other players as well :)

Rusty00

Lee Spurr (91 average this year, 93 average last year) back on the trade market.

Jarryd Blair (94 average this year, 99 average last year) could also be available subject to other trade talks and the right deal ;)

PM me if interested, looking for youth and/or draft picks

Yeh the Burgoyne value is about right. He was originally traded for Weller. Weller is only worth about a 3rd rounder
Its just because its picks rather than a player

When does trade period end??
Did we actually confirm this date?

I thought there was a post somewhere from BB that said the closing date was this weekend, but I can't find it ???

Edit: Found it

We are still waiting on a few coaches to vote on the trade process, then I can get around to approving trades.

Just a reminder that this time next week, the trade period closes. Any movements not used in this trade period cannot be used in the next period. So make sure you get your trades in soon! Drafting will be soon after that, once the AFL Draft has been held.

De-listings are also due in 2 weeks time, so make sure you also have one eye on your list management!

Last year when new coaches joined we kept the window open a little longer - will this be the case again BB?

Are specific dates mentioned for the end of the trade period and for delistings??

There is a Key Dates post in the official trade thread.

In it we have the Trade Period ending this Saturday, with delistings due on Sunday the 23rd.

With our new coaches coming into the competition however, I think it is right to extend the trade period by a week so that they can get a chance to make the changes they would like with their teams.

So just to repeat:

The Trade Period will end Saturday the 22nd of November.

Final Delistings are due by Sunday the 23rd of November.

And hopefully I can get around to looking at trades tonight, but it may have to wait until tomorrow. And then things should calm down for me a bit, and I will be able to be around a bit more.

No offence to Nails or anything, but this is a terrible trade;

TRADE #11: APPROVED
Bears give: M. Thomas + M. Rischitelli + M. Jamar + NAT #48
Dongs give: J. Grimes + NAT #29
Reasoning: This trade just gets through. Jamar + Pick 48 = Pick 29 more or less. Thomas and Rischitelli are quite a bit to give up for Grimes, but they are both older than Grimes, and do not look to have the same scoring potential of Grimes, who could become a top defender if he can get over his injury worries. Also, he is a defender, and this seems to be the hardest position to find quality players.

Grimes has his own issues though dude. Roos has been playing him as a lockdown defender not giving him the freedom he enjoyed in the years he went enormous. This more 'team-orientated' role player mode has seen his fantasy scores suffer. Will this change? Maybe, who knows. To be honest I actually have no idea if it will. But this, in conjunction with his body made of glass has his value pretty low imo.

But yeah, I tend to agree that he could've got slightly more.

True. I probably dislike it more cause Im trying to rebuild the team, and this trade just makes it older.
