Just have one question ???  Why did anyone pick Pav this year? ??? Am serious
I traded him in rd 5 for $437k for Caddy. I was tossing up between him and gray, and decided Pav based purely on his incredible history of averaging between 99 and 115 from 2005 until 2012. Ignoring his injury hit year last year, he had also played no less than 19 matches every year too, while gray, well we we all know his history... Clearly it was the wrong call in hindsight, however my reasoning that he might have 1 more really solid year left in him was, I think, solid, based on the price I paid for him.  Check his stats for this year - he was still averaging over 90 after rd17, before his 2 concussions. Funnily enough, his 106 in round 17 got me over the line in a league match; gray's 77 wouldn't have...

Funnily enough the huge flaw in that is that Gray would've won you plenty more games than Pav did too hahaha

Tbag, I decided to to with Gunston out of the two and he's been great apart from 2-3 games, but this layoff is annoying!

Could say the same about Tex. I picked Pav because he is a superstar with an awesomw SC record - particularly when playing mostly fwd. Add to that Freos form going into the year and his starting price I couldn't resist.
Bad decision - I admit that - but it could easily have gone the other way.

Tex is and will keep coming good now, but I'm glad I chose Buddy when they were both cheap.

Actually he wouldn't have; I only lost 2 matches and both by more than the difference in their scores. I checked before making that statement. Sure, he clearly would have boosted my overall ranking, but that's not what I said champ.

Pav has been value for his $437,500 until just 2 rounds ago.

The only guys averaging over 90ppg cheaper at the start of the year were Dahlhaus and McGlynn. Well done to you if you picked them.

The money saved on Pav will have been used elsewhere and a forward averaging over 90 from round 1 costing only $437,500 is rare.

Now he is a good reserve if nothing else.

Will I pick him next year? No.

As for Walker - swap the L for an N and you're closer.  :P

Well said, personally I didn't cop Pav's 9 so I don't consider him a failure, certainly not a a top 6 forward but has been solid value.

I only copped his 9 because of Bluddy!  >:(

I still managed to dodge it by swapping gray from the mids, taking Murphy's 100 as mid emerg, and leaving buddy on the pine still. However only gained 40 points, not an expected 80-120...

This is why I wonder whether a DPP M/D  is a good option at this stage of the season if you need a final mid.

I find it quite useful, but I had 8 premo mids before getting a spare premo mid/fwd. I now have both honeychurch and Spina on the mid bench to facilite these movements between zorko, etc.

Beautiful

With Pav and SJ both playing hopefully, it means I can use my final trade on getting rid of Hibberd

RaisyMyDaisy,

Just wait for selection carnage and then you can post that you never get to put your best 22 on the field in the same week.  ;)
