It could get Sydney somebody like Sam Durdin who can play defense/ruck/forward which could help post Pyke/Derickx and Ted/Grundy

JBs-Hawks

Its nott over as Mitchell is a gun. But Sydney could prefer it as theyd be  a shot at Wright possibly

I don't see how its overs, stacks up pretty even with most top 10 picks

If he's top 10 pick worthy he wouldn't have only played 18 games in two years when Cunningham/Lloyd have racked up 24 and 20 games each in the space of a year, and considering Lloyd missed two national drafts and was picked at #16 in the rookie draft last year, it doesn't show much for Mitchell. Wouldn't be paying #6 for him at this stage, as he hasn't proven anything.

Maybe I would in a few years however.

I agree.

He's shown that he could definitely be worth the pick. His potential is ridiculous and in the games he has played, it's pretty evident the kid has ridiculous talent and can absolutely dominate. He had that crazy game in the NEAFL where he racked up like 64 disposals (fantastic effort, regardless of what comp it was in) or something wasn't it? Clearly can play and even after that he couldn't crack the team over Cunningham and Lloyd (who admittedly had pretty impressive years).

What he produced this year isn't Pick 6 worthy.

Mailman the 2nd

The argument that he's not getting games has already been explained by the Swans though. He had no preseason, had several bouts of ankle surgery meaning it took him a long time to get back.

He doesn't even play the same role as Cunningham and Lloyd has been extremely good considering he gets the vest every 2nd game.

He's proven it in multiple games too, he set 2013 on fire and the round 23 game vs. Richmond was indicative that he still has it.

Still easy top 10 pick

hasnt proven anything?? Not worth pick 6?? Back luck then. He stays at the Swans. boohoo. You miss out

He was out of the team through injury and is still young. The Swans didnt rush him back as he had a re-occurrence of the injury. Lloyd played a couple of blinders and kept his spot over Titch.

You dont rush someone back that young after the injuries he has had.

Classic Swans fans overvaluing their players no-end :')

But from a Carlton perspective, if that's what its gonna cost then do it.

anything is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.

A house might be worth $1 million but if someone only off $800k then thats what is worth.

Carlton arent the only team after Titch.there will be a bidding war if he leaves

Mailman the 2nd

Its also worth noting that retrospectively looking at the 2011 draft when he was selected, he'd easily be in the first 6 players you would select.

Malceski won't get us much, Membrey either. But Mitchell is worth a lot more

kilbluff1985

think it's fair also

if Titch was available in the draft at pick 6 most clubs would take him

Very true. People definitely overate potential in draft picks, a player averaging 21 disposals at 21 years old is pretty much as good as gets on the table

we dont even know how good pick 6 is until he plays

Ziplock

kilbluff1985

Titch wont be going to the Dons, good try though.
