Essendon forward Patrick Ambrose has had surgery on his broken jaw and will be sidelined for the next 1 to 2 weeks.

The 22 year old fractured his jaw during Friday night's loss to the Sydney Swans at the SCG and had an operation on Sunday morning to repair the damage.

With Bellchambers out of touch and Joe injured, it's terrible timing.
The Tigers defence is super vulnerable 1 on 1 I feel, stretching it out you can kick big scores against them, but if you let them zone off and help each other that can be frugal at the same time. There will be no JC heroics this week I don't think, so we really needed the second tall option to run the logos and stretch the D.

Terrible timing for the Patty and the team, hope he recovers quickly.
