Mr.Craig

It will be interesting to see who comes out for Mitchell and Smith given their replacements did a decent job. If Gunston misses I guess there's the question of whether we restructure or bring in a dedicated forward.

While the Box Hill boys went down there were some positives with Ceglar, Lowden, Grimley and O'Brien all getting amongst the goals. Hartung and Willsmore were named in the best along with Jordan Kelly. I'd love to see Kelly get a gig but it seems unlikely this year. Cheney is continuing to do well which is handy.

Sydney play Port and Geelong are up against Freo so that could potentially help a bit.

Can Hawks fans please explain Luke Breust's drop in form so far in the second half of the season?

Is there more to it than just teams identifying how dangerous he can be in his role and shutting him down?

JBs-Hawks

We have many avenues to goal, sometimes one might not get used as much.  Plus had a few poor weeks when he wouldnt kick for goal.

He's still kicking goals, just not getting as many possessions as he was earlier in the year.

I think you should have said fantasy form rather than actual form because he is doing his job for the team. Despite not getting a heap of the ball in the last 5 weeks he is still averaging a career high for disposals, although his marks and tackles are marginally down. Without Cyril and Buddy there's probably more need for him to be closer to goal this season and that means there's less opportunity to move up the ground and rack up +6's.

Yes, the word 'fantasy' was a stupid omission from that post.

Yeah he's still doing a very good job, I'm a huge fan of his. Should be all-australian this year.

I reckon Jordan Lewis should be all Australian too, he has been sensational all year. He would be a near certainty to win our B&F for me.

i don't think Lewis makes the team about 10 mids ahead of him i think

On fantasy numbers year. Lewis is the number 1 midfielder in the top team thats gotta count more then fantasy numbers

Mailman the 2nd

Lewis won't be AA. Off the top of my head guys like Ablett, Kennedy, Pendles, Rockliff, Fyfe, Boak, Treloar and Priddis would all be in queue before him.

Pendles, Beams, Ward, Jelwood, Fyfe, JPK, Sloane, Priddis, Boak, Ablett, Rockliff all been better imo

and maybe Boomer, Heppell and Parker

We won't have many - if any - AA, because we are a champion team rather than a team of dickheads like the other clubs.

No one really stands out this year due to injury, even spread of goal kickers and a game plan that calls for individuals to sacrifice their games for the team plan.

Hard to shut us down.

Maybe Roughead if he wins the Coleman?

Pretty insane that you have 3 players inside the top 7 goal kickers of the year!!

Scrads

Can see our only AA players this year being Breust and Roughy. Lewis will be stiff but they will pick other players on name over him. Gibbo will be hurt by missing that chunk of games.

Possibly, but I think Lewis has been hugely underated this year, he's been outstanding. I would have him above Sloane, Boomer and Heppell for sure. Still probably hard to squeeze him in though.

Anyway he should definitely win the Crimmins.
