Broomhead looks likely. Possibly playing in the mids tonight. 184cm and seems well balanced.  Another "shorty" tho 8)

Yeah he looks very good. Ben Kennedy and him are similar I reckon.

And Blair, Adams, JT, sometimes Elliot, freeman (bennedy and broomhead) have all lined up in the centre circle.

It's so short! I agree most of them will be great players but it is somewhat worrying.

Also sumner was drafted as an explosive midfielder, most small guys start out in the forward line but they don't end up there.

He's not worth 400k. Not that it matters, apparently Collingwood are strapped for cash

My Gut is still telling Me we should trade Harry L. Still has vaue, and he is turning 28 in November and I just don't feel he doesn't make enough impact as what I would like.

Blair need to improve as well, his stats have been going downwards since 2011

Agree with everything youve said

kilbluff1985

trade him for what though? doesn't seem like you guys have any obvious needs

but i'm sure Melbourne would take him

I feel the same. Pendles is a great leader but since Maxy is gone we don't seem to have many great leaders. Not sure who we should be targeting tho. Someone like Sloaney but we would need a lot more than Harry L to get Sloane. Is he out of contract at the end of the year? Or did he sign?

kilbluff1985

would you guys do Tyson like trade but with Lumumba instead

That leadership will come from within though. Give them another preseason, boys will develop and step up from within now that maxwell isn't there

Don't think Lumumba would have value as trade bait think his best is past him think you need to cull some those small mid forward types that you seem to have to many of .

Sloane goes out of contract end of next year. But there is no chance whatsoever that you will get him. He has already stated he wants to stay beyond 2015 and is wanting Danger and Tex to commit too.

Plus you cant afford Goldsack how can you afford someone good?

That's just factually incorrect. Use your brain man, ball, qlynch, maxy all retiring along with stars from last season, we have plenty of room to move within the salary cap.

The issue was he wanted 450k a year for 3 years and we didn't want to pay him that much.

I think we will offer him about 375k over 2 years with a games based trigger for a third year.

Edit* I didn't read the above article but it says what I said above

Mailman the 2nd

Don't think Ball, Lynch and Maxwell will equate to much salary cap when you take in veteran status + draft picks.
