If he did that, I'd rate the suns to take a tilt at the premiership next season :P

take your meds Zip.

Well, I called the suns to be pushing for the 8 this season, despite a lot of people scoffing at me :P

I thought they'd make the 8 as well, but at worst I said they'd be putting pressure on it :P

well mailman, do you think if they get frawley they can punt at a premiership in 2015? :P

I don't think they'll go for Frawley. But it doesn't change much if he did go :P

I don't know I might be wrong, but I feel like Frawley isn't going to help Collingwood
Especially with their good young defenders coming through. Frost, Brown, Reid and Keeffe, Langdon will develop into a very decent backline. Plus there is the smalls in Williams, Toovey, Seedsman and then Lumumba I guess.
Chuck in Scharenberg back there, because why not? And Corey Gault maybe?  :P

Theyd need a good run with injuries and Lynch and Dixon to be consistent but they could be top 6 with frawley and thompson holding down the key defence spots.

how would it not change much? all they are really lacking is another key defender to help May

they could use a really quick small forward better then Aaron Hall also lol

Just don't make him rebound out of defence and I think he would help Gold Coast massively

So I'm the only one of the thinking that Frawley helps us?

We've already lost Maxwell, and Brown isn't far off.. Reid is better suited up forward, helps our structure so only really leaves Keefe and Frost as our key defenders with Langdon taking the third tall and Toovey the 4th.. Way undermanned, have at times been flogged by opposition key forwards especially against the lesser Keefe in spurts (Jenkins against us kicking 5 as an example after Brown went out).

I think he'd add depth to our defence, and adds a key big man we're lacking!

Look at the top four teams at the moment in full flight - defences win you premierships.

Sydney - Richards, Grundy, Malceski, Laidler, Smith Mcveigh
Hawthorn - Gibson, Lake, Stratton, Birchall, Suckling, Schoenmakers
Geelong  - Taylor, Lonergan, Rivers, Mackie, Enright, Guthrie
Fremantle - Mcpharlin, Johnson, Dawson, Silvagni, Duffleld, Ibbotson

Collingwood could go into next year with him looking pretty decent.. Would allow both Lumumba and Young to play up the ground too.
Think blokes like Goldsack and Blair are nearly past it, could be proven wrong though

Toovey, Frost, Brown
Seedsman, Frawley, Langdon
Young, Macaffer, Lumumba
White, Reid, Elliot
Sidebottom, Cloke, Swan
Witts, Pendlebury, Beams

Williams, Ball, Martin, Scharenberg (think he will play senior footy next year)

Grundy, Keefe, Dwyer, Broomhead, Adams, Freeman etc pushing very hard for spots (it's what you want)

How much stronger does that team look than currently? At the moment it's looking very poor.

Thoughts or am I being stupid?

kilbluff1985

i think he will help

i think they are thinking he will be a useful swingman with Reid will be able to switch them up if matchups not working etc

he compliments Reid's ability to play both ends

Cambo

Just putting it out there BUT am I the only one thinking Reid should be used as trade bait?
When on the park is a good player, but the Reid brothers are made of Playdough and are always injured.  I would be moving him on for someone that is durable and that we can get game time out of........

Mailman the 2nd

Sam Reid's not like his brother this year :P

Seriously though, Ben Reid is far and away Collingwood's best key player when on the park. He's still relatively young, and worth much more than any trade if he reaches his potential

Mailman the 2nd

Also I'd be willing to say that Luke Ball won't play on into 2015

Yeah, I just said this to somebody on Monday. It's looking that way.
