Possibilities of players not going to be at collingwood next year:
Marty Clarke, lynch, Hudson, Ramsay (?), Yagmoor, Mooney, Gault (don't know much about him)

We could also trade Harry L and Swanny to get some more good draft picks

Will delist Clarke, lych, Hudson and yagmoor. Ramsey to rookie list. Gault upgraded to senior list if Jack Frost doesn't re-sign otherwise delisted if frost leaves pies.

I would suspect frost + 2nd/3rd round pick to giants for Jono o'rourke will be done though

Would not be surprised if bennedy left for Adelaide either unfortunately.

I don't think much else is necessary, maybe another backman but we have the youth, just need to inject some games. Wouldn't say season over right now but if we lose to Adelaide then it's done and dusted.

Benny Kennedy will come back to Adelaide, ty :)  Why? He's a no goodun, Bucks only likes choir boys. Also he has struggled for games after he was basically the best in the U18s

Young kid, struggling for games, only to return home after 2 seasons. Reminds me of someone.  ;D :P

I know you're trying to bait tbag, but I will respond to this one. Gunston was not struggling for games in the season he left the Crows. Played 12 of the last 15 games of the season, had secured a spot in the 22 and was going to be named best young player at the Crows at the awards night. He then told them he was leaving, so they gave the award to someone else (can't remember who). So he wasn't struggling for games, don't try and bait tbag with info that isn't even correct ;)

aha please, nice joke but, that person was actually given games (Key Pos don't forget) was a required player

Benny was a ripper junior, hasn't cemented a spot despite his pace and skill, candidade for a return :P

aha still, nice joke but, it will cause something we all cannot control, can we all cease from it?

Just some light hearted humour HB, which i'm sure tbag realises.  :)

Anyhow, if Gunston wasn't struggling for games then Kennedy certainly hasn't. He's played more games over his two years, than Gunston did in his first two at the Crows.

Certainly tbag.  :)

Hey I know, was cheering for the Dees hours ago as well

One  think for sure, the Dees will hang on to PitDog Riley. Will Roos go or more midfielders given he has some rippers already? He said he would, he said the midfield needs to be improved

Yeah fair enough MT. Wasn't sure if it was a light hearted joke, or if you were trying to stir him up again. Yes it's true Bennedy has played more, but he has been in and out of the side, whereas Gunston was firmly in the side by the time he decided to leave.

Obviously I'm upset that Gunston left since he showed (and has now realised) so much potential, but I have to respect that he did what he needed to do for himself. But seriously can you imagine if Tippett and Gunston had stayed! We would have had a forward line of Tex, Tip and Gunston being fed the ball by Sloane, Danger, Crouch, Thommo. Would have been amazing!

Vinny

Finally a sensible Adelaide fan who isn't butthurt! All hail HB.

Riley's been brilliant lately. The key reason behind that is match fitness, which he was severely lacking in his first few games for the Dees. Fair enough too given his previous injury.

Our recruiting was quite good last time around, as we targeted a few players who lacked opportunities at their club. Given how stocked Adelaide are in talented midfielders it meant players like Riley and Lyons (who are good enough to play) just couldn't get the games, however they were still able to learn from players like Sloane, Thompson and Dangerfield.

I really think we'll target Lyons at the end of the year, so be careful tbag.  ;)

Feel free to head over to the Melbourne discussion though, we tend to discuss team changes and performances quite a bit recently.

No worries HB! Yes I totally agree on that instance, that's why I was surprised Kennedy had actually played more in total.

That's fair enough too. It's exactly why it is fair enough for tbag to hate on Gunston, simply for leaving in the circumstances he did. I mean I feel the exact same about Fernando Torres with his departure from Liverpool. Only thing is i've had the benefit of Torres being a bit of a flop, while Gunston- well he's done pretty well.

I feel a similar way about how our forward line could have looked, had everything gone right.

We'll take him ;) Come home mate

WTF, frosty is going no where. He is now probably our best key backman
