They are returning it straight after the first recruit was dumped?

I think applications have been open for a while .. before the Yoey dumping. Think they were always going to bring it back not sure why they didn't run with it last year. Wasn't because of bad ratings because as far as I know it was very popular ?

I remember seeing a reason for it not being on this year I'll have a look later and see if I can find it again.
But yeah they have been advertising on Foxtel for awhile now for applicants for the new season.

Might've had something to do with Voss joining Port, don't think they had found a replacement maybe...

He's actually quite a likeable bloke, just hates the media which is where we see him so grumpy and stale haha

the new season starts next Wednesday. even though the first was probably a failure I still enjoyed it. am looking forward to it

I've had it series linked for a few weeks now :)

I know the winner isn't going to really turn into anything, but I actually enjoy the shows format and thought season 1 was really good to watch. Not sure about Mick, but I'll be watching for sure

Reckon they have to drop the rules around previously playing in the 2nd tier leagues if they want to find AFL quality talent.

I can already tell some bits are going to be a bit repetitive, but was a good show overall. I love the matches they play

I really enjoyed the first episode

Half way through it I told the Misses that Fab would be the one to go - too soft and not up to it

One thing I take out of watching a show like this is how easy it can be for us to take for granted what AFL players do each week. We just watch the footy and expect so much, but when you see these recruits and how much work is involved - wow you have to be ridiculously fit and skillful to play AFL
