Really happy for Yoey, has word his butt off and could prove to be a great player. Disappointed the Crows didn't bid for him though, he could have fitted in very nicely here, especially with Porplyzia on the outer.

My idea is that more guys might try out for it now, the idea of being able to pick the club you go to could encourage some people who would have otherwise just re nominated for the draft?

yep that's what i'm thinking that more will apply thinking they can do better then Waylen at the challenges or whatever

just being on tv as advertising will get more applicants as Fitzy said to apply now

They are casting for a new season already, so we will have to wait and see I guess :)

Oh right, had no idea casting had already begun for S2.

Idk, it feels like if  he doesn't actually get a game then the whole thing was kinda pointless.

But yeah, fair call that it's likely to be a little while before we see him play.

Point is, even if he doesn't get a game by the end of S2, it would still be too early to call it a 'failure'. I agree that the extra publicity will see S2 have better players IMO.

Ok so I'm bit behind the 8 ball as I didn't have Fox and wasn't able to find episodes till now.  4 eps in and way better than I had expected.  A bit Survivor like which happens to be my favourite show.

I work in the health/medical field and the biggest issue I had was putting Waylan into that environment with the psychologist.  It was incredibly culturally insensitive if you've had anything to do with indigenous Aussies.  So much credit to him for dealing with it the way he did and for adapting so quickly, 9/10 wouldn't have coped with that and thrown in the towel.  I also feel like the other players should have been put through a cultural safety workshop so they understood where Waylan was coming from as they definitely had no clue at the start and gave him a fairly hard time, especially DJ, what a tosser, Vossy should've cut him when he talked back.

I think with seasons to come you will get a lot more talented players coming out to have a crack at AFL stardom, bit like the Ultimate Fighter now where a lot of the fighters end up with contracts in the UFC.

with Voss now going to Port Adelaide, what does that mean for Season 2? Will Voss be coach or will they replace him with someone

Yoey, Darren Burgess and Vossy all at the Power - maybe they should just film at Alberton now   ::)
