Top 3 finished in the order I expected

A bit odd that 18 clubs voted making Yoey the winner, but then only 3 of the maximum 18 that voted him Number 1 wanted him

I think next season and each season after will see the winner getting more clubs wanting them. This is an AFL first, so a lot of the clubs would have been pretty cautious this time around

I'm sure a few others might get a spot on a list, but only time will tell if any of them get a game at AFL level

Yoey wanting to play for Port since a kid will be heaps of motivation for him opposed to moving interstate away from family and friends I think it was the right decision for him

What would have happened if no one wanted him? Haha

Good on him but I think he picked the wrong club.. Will be chewed up and spat out before he ever plays a game in a good side like Port. Should have gone to the Giants for a better chance at getting into the side

A mate of mine heard a rumor saying that was in fact the case. No club wanted a part of the winner and GWS were told they had to take him.

My money's on that Wagner bloke that played up forward or the big blonde volleyballer that played in the ruck

While im on a roll. Heres another prediction..

None of the contestants will ever play a single game of senior AFL football.

Hearing rumours of the Irish bloke getting a 2 year contract at Geelong, Waylen going to Collingwood, people on Facebook saying they played with Semmell at Rye and hes so good that "he will definitely play AFL".. People seriously have no idea  ::)

Wagner is the only one that ticks all of the boxes to make it at AFL level but unfortunately he picked the wrong club

Grazz

Need to give the bloke some credit for picking the team that suits him best not the team he is most likely to get a game at first, there is something to admire in that. His development at Port will be superior to the other two clubs in my opinion whether that will be good enough to make the team eventually remains to be seen. Im sure he knows what he's up against and obviously he feels he's up to the challenge, either way if he doesn't crack their best 22 he will be much better equipped to play in a lesser team.

If Bradie was on the GC list this year, he would of played the final 2 games guaranteed.

Spite

There was an article today saying that 15 clubs were iniligible to pick Yoey as there category B rookie spot was filled. Of the 3 teams left, all 3 wanted him.
Rest of the players go into the rookie draft and hopefully people take a punt

Noz

None of them will play a game.
If they can't get drafted by playing local footy/under 18 footy I highly doubt playing prison mates/guards are going to get then drafted

Well, that makes a bit more sense then.

Mostly agree mate. Only thing is now they will develop more being in the system compared to being out of it. Just whether he will develop enough to play.

For those wondering why all 18 AFL clubs did not bid for the ‪#‎TheRecruit‬ Johaan Wagner last night - the truth is that 15 clubs were ineligible to do so, as they had already filled their allowance of one "category B" rookie, which is the category the contract falls under.

Rhys Maxwell, Brendan Goss, Waylen Manson, Ryan Semmell, Nathan Jackel and runners up Brady Foster and Chris Moreland are all believed to enter the rookie draft this year, whereby if they are picked up, will fall under the standard rookie category.

Mark Cisco and Padrig Lucy both can be rookied under the AFL's international rookie scheme, to which Lucy is set to accept a two-year deal by the Geelong Football Club.

Well I was wrong about the rejected, but yeah there wasn't spots available then the draft would of never taken place haha

Not sure if that's correct.

each club can include up to three additional players (now referred to as Category B rookies) on its Rookie List

http://www.afl.com.au/afl-hq/the-afl-explained/rookie-players

Most clubs don't have there full quota of 3x cat B/ Int'l rookies;

Seems a bit silly to have all clubs there if only 3 could actually even get one of them

krk004 might be on the money
