Does it have to be fantasy based?
no, you can put your fav team in if you want

Mat0369

Back: Garland, Jamo, Shaw
HB: Hibberd, Mackenzie Hanley
C: Deledio, Selwood, Danger
HF: Dalhaus, Roughy, Wingard
FWD: NRoo ,Buddy, Boomer
Foll: Sandi, Ablett, Pendles

I am tossing up with a few positions and combos

Garland and Shaw vs Davis and Howe is the main one. Saints are tough to pick since all their good players are midfielders, so another other one is Tex and Joey vs Danger and NRoo. Deledio and Roughy or JRoo and Brad Hill/Issac Smith is another. If I went Davis I might have also considered Henderson over Jamo.

RUC: W.Minson (Bulldogs)
FWD: D.Martin (Richmond), P.Dangerfield (Adelaide), R.Gray (PA), M.Lecras (WCE), N.Riewoldt (STK)
you are missing 2

North and Geelong

Actually looking at this team again, this would be one of the worst defensive teams of all time

I would feel bad for Jamo with the lack of defensive pressure from the mids

With Sandi, Gaz, Pendles, Jelwood, Danger, etc; I don't think you're defenders will be too occupied :P

i like it as you actually put the right player in each position as well

That is true  :P

Also Hibberd is really good at zoning off and intercept marking as a 3rd man in which is why I have added him in

The forward line could probably use a reshuffle and look more like this

Boomer, NRoo, Dahlhaus
Buddy, Roughy, Chad

Buddy would sort of roam the field as he does with the Swans, NRoo would just run his opponent up and down the field, Roughy closer to goal, Chad's been playing closer to goal like he has all year, Boomer plays as a high half forward, same as  Dahlhaus.

I tried to do it as if I was setting up a team that would actually compete. It's another reason why I didn't just put guys like Rockliff, Ward and Libba in the midfield, a real team needs a couple of mids to break the lines, while they are guns, they don't do that and guys like Gaz, Pendles and Selwood would be more damaging as they have a better combo of an inside and outside game.

My Chumps

So I'm pretty bored and bumped thread up again.

B: Michael Hibbered (ESS) - Scott D Thompson (NM) - Colin Garland (MELB)
HB: Kade Simpson (CARL) - Harry Taylor (GEEL) - Pearce Hanley (BL)
C: Nathan Fyfe (FREO)  - Scott Pendlebury (COLL) - Callan Ward (GWS)
HF: Dustin Martin (RICH) - Nick Reiwoldt (STK) - Robbie Gray (PA)
FF: Cyril Rioli (HAWKS) - Lance Franklin (SYD) - Mark LeCras (WCE)
R: Will Minson (WB) - Gary Ablett (GC) - Patrick Dangerfield (ADEL)

That back pocket gave me some grief.

Mailman the 2nd

What Jersey Number is the best in the AFL?

My guess would be probably 9, considering it has Gray, Malceski, Riewoldt, Kelly, Ablett, Sloane, Swallow, Cotchin and Nic Nat!

Ricochet

I actually had the same discussion with a mate only last week. Has to be either #9 or #3 for current players

Goddard being number 9 only means he's half the player he was at the Saints

but yes he should be included in that list :P
