Yea fair enough. I just feel that if your going with a 5 premo mid structure u need some value at m4/5. You gotta remember this year we all had the luxury of beams at a severely discounted price, plus I would suggest most of the top sides would have started Murph priced at an 85 ave. just dunno if there are gonna be those same options next year. Although I guess guys like Griffen, Danger, Steven would be the safer options in that price bracket.

Saying that next year my "girlfriend" may have to enter a team with all the up and coming mids I mentioned just to see how that strategy pans out.

Welcome mate to FF and dont worry, there are a couple of people on here with a couple of people here that look after their "Girlfriends" teams

Deadly6

And who's looking after the girlfriend while your looking after the team ;D

timtim

Personally the first thing I'll be locking in next year will be trades. And plenty of them given the carnage this week.

Yup locking in 6 trades for finals. No matter what

Ringo

Good plan TimTim but you got to make the finals first.  Lot of the injury trades occurred early so had to use more than planned just to make finals.

Its a tough call to make with so much time remaining before first bounce of 2015 so anything could happen with any of the players mentioned. looking at proven players coming back from injury or talented rookies who havnt managed much game time for whatever reason.

Scharenburg- top 10 pick with an extra 12 months conditioning, playing for a team with a week defence. should see plenty of ball and field time.

D Thomas- was just starting to look good when he re-did his ankle. Depends on how he pulls up but if he gets a 100% pre season lock-wont get tagged with murph and co, coach loves him, good sc history.

D Menzel. His knees are made of glass held together by spiderwebs but scary talented and in a good team. IF he could manage a full season could easily average high 80's for minimal money.

Z Clarke- depends on Sandilands, If he rucks solo should punch out 90-110 pts per game. with sandi drop that by 20 points. dockers have excellent bounce set ups with solid inside mids, and with sandi out should get less attention from opposing sides in this area meaning more hit outs to advantage. speculative.

Ward-just a gun. will be tagged. will still score. at 540k with two games to go and 189 break even he may drop to around 500k at end of season, which is damn cheap for a proven 110 av player.

Will Hoskin-Elliott-not sure if it'll be 2015 or 2016 but ill lean towards next year- in team full of hard inside players people you need someone get the ball they have earned and use it-can mark, good kick. avg up 15 pts over last year, if he does it again will avg 95-100 for 350k App.

thats all I got so far, will be keeping an eye on things as they develop.

Players prices next year have nothing to do with their finishing price this year, just FYI.

_wato

Yeah if prices are anything to go by from last year, Ward will be priced at around $605-610k next year.

Mr.Witt

how much would a player have to average to get a price of say 500k ? (assuming he plays most games)

i think around 95-100

Mr.Witt

What about Greenwood surely he will keep improving? actually any of the north midfielders could be a good pick Swallow, Wells Cunnington and Bastinac ;) not bias or anything

Peter

Swan will be lucky to get a game next year

HotTiges

If Gray somehow manages to hold onto DPP he'd be one of the first picked, but I highly doubt it..

Has played up front all year.

I agree he may lose dpp, hasn't played that much mid time.

Could go from F/M to F only.

Nah, I think he'll stay a F/M.
Probably played more forward than midfield, though.
