Help Please! Need Advice :)

Hi Guys

This is my team, and I have 4 trades/70k left

McVeigh, Swallow, Simpson, HIBBERD, Jaensch, Enright (Bews, Battersby)

ABLETT, Pendles, Jelwood, Beams, Libba, Ward, Fyfe, Stevie J (Shenton, Acres)

Sandi, Mumford (Currie, King)

Gray, Dusty, Danger, Zorko, Pav, S.Martin (Kersten, Cameron)

What do I do?

I have a must win league game this week, and need to avoid donuts, and the best idea I can come up with so far is:

Ablett - Honeychurch
Bews - Mitchell

This gives me strong def cover moving forward, and next week I would trade Shenton to Rocky/JPK/Priddis

If Mumford or Sandi are late outs I'm stuffed, but there is just no way around it

guess your plans make sense or you could just trade Ablett and Hibberd and keep 2 trades

i'm in a similar spot had to trade Ablett and bring in cover for Rocky but i chose Caddy instead of Honey

Think you need to trade hibberd and ablett to premiums.  Ablett to honeychurch leaves you mids too weak with only 2 trades remaining.  Sam Mitchell and JPK would be my suggestion

Yeah I was thinking the same thing - This plan uses 3 of my 4 remaining trades, having to trade twice this week and then turn Shenton into a premo next week

The other option I have is to trade Hibberd, but that just seems wrong

I could do Ablett to JPK/Priddis and Hibberd to Bartel/Mitchell, meaning I only have to use 2 trades instead of 3, but I would still have the dodgy bench of Bews/Battersby

Don't see the point bringing in Honeychurch, I'd trade Hibberd to SMitchell, Ablett to Dal Santo. That would leave enough money to upgrade Bews to a solid D7 when the time comes. You could even pay extra on JPK and compromise a little with D7.

trouble is if you bring in Honey and S Mitchell this week what if you get another 2 LTI's this week then your stuck with only 7 premo mids

The idea behind bringing in Honeychurch is that it gives me the cash to turn Bews in SMitchell, and then next week I would turn Shenton into JPK, so it's just delaying getting a replacement for Gaz by one week

It also gives me 7 premo's in def, but perhaps I don't need that - I guess having 400k players as cover is a bit over the top and a luxury I shouldn't be looking for with so little trades left

I guess a trade in the bank is more important than good cover at the moment

Feels silly getting rid of Hibberd when he could be back next week though

otherwise slightly different take -> (Hanley or Parker), Bartel  - gives you $110-130k 2 trades

probably not ideal trades, but should help you win this weeks league game and helps with more $$ to complete your team...

2 trades is cutting things very fine, best to lock in your best 22 and reserve trades for LTI. As for Hibberd, don't become too attached, he's been ordinary lately so you are actually strengthening your side by upgrading to SMitchell.

The difficult part is determining the best option out of JPK & Dal Santo. By picking Dal Santo you are in a better position to grab a fallen premo for D7, someone like Harry Taylor. If you go the JPK route then Lachie Henderson would fit your budget. At least with a key position player you can loophole when they ton up.

I have a strong suspicion that there will be a late out or two for the Cats and Bews will be first in line to come back in so I would wait until the final teams are named before trading Bews out. This will mean you miss out on Mitchell this week but it will save you a precious trade.

If Bews isn't named then your hand will be forced and I think you will need to trade Hibberd to a premo defender of your choice.

Ablett to JPK would be the other trade I would do.

Talia is one option but I'd rather have SMitchell in a must win game. Lock him in now and worry about patching D7 up later, there's still some good options on board that will give you a viable loophole option - Taylor, Henderson & Grimes are all viable candidates. With Enright & Jaensch as weak links it would pay to get in a high standard deviation player who can pull in big scores every 2-3 matches.

2 Sideways and save trades. Hibberd to Malceski - Swans have a good road home and take your own personal pick for Gazza. I am thinking Sidebottom  for me but everyone has their own veiw. I'm probably being suicidal but I'm leaving JPK, Fyfe, Rocky out of my team. Best of luck mate.    ;)

Get JPK and Mitch in. May have no cover but if someone is out then the trade you are saving by not downgrading atm you can then just use to sideways out the player that is out.
