Ablett and Birch replacements. So many options!

So ive decided to change my initial thread into a poll taking into consideration your thoughts.


The current defenders and mids stand as follows;
Def  -  McVeigh, D. Swallow, P. Hanley, Simpson, Suckling, Birchall     - Emerg - Simpkin, Bews

Mid  -  Ablett, Barlow, Beams, Swan, J. Selwood, Stanton, Cotchin, N. Jones     - Emerg - N. Jetta, Honeychurch.

With $46,200 remaining salary.

Trading both Ablett and Birchall leaves me with a total of $1,042,268 to spend.

Trade 1 - Ablett to Pendlebury and Birchall to Dal Santo to leaving $36,896

Trade 2 - Ablett to JPK and Birchall to Dal Santo leaving $30,725

Trade 3 - Ablett to Steve Johnson and Birchall to Bartel leaving $8,330

Trade 4 - Ablett to Liberatore and Birchall to Dal Santo leaving $69,052

Option 5 - Alternative trade???

Suckling will eventually make way. Depending in who I trade in this week it will be for Bartel/Dal Santo/Mitchel. Any Mitchell trade would be better off waiting a week due to his break even of 141 and projected loss of about $20k.

Is S. Johnson a top 8 mid after showing good form over the weekend? Nice and cheap and allows more room to move with trades.


Obvious ins later on will be Rocky now that Ablett looks gone for the season. The only other definite out I have is Jones.

Jpk pendles and in the backs bartel are a must. But putting nds at d6 is pretty good

SJ should be a top8 mid for the remainder of the season. Bartel is on fire this year and NDS doesn't even compare.

That said, you should probably work Pendles in your team later on. He is a must have.

Yeah really struggling with which to do out of 1 and 3. I do think that Bartel and Johnson combo is stronger than Pendles and Dal Santo. Votes are swinging in the favour of 1 though.

Voted for option 3 as to me this is a much stronger combo. NDS has been good but not super imo!

Yeah I agree.

I plan on moving Suckling on and at some stage, whether its this week or not, Dal Santo or Mitchell will be coming into the team. Mind you, gotta keep a few dark horses on the radar - ie. Ricky Henderson...

But I bet some random injury will stuff that up!
