Its always really easy to see who the captain of a football club is just by watching the team play.

Whether its Pav, Watson, Selwood, Hodge or whoever its easy to see. Fyfe definitely for mine

Vinny

Either way I'd be very happy to either Pavlich or Fyfe be the premiership captain if Dockers win the flag. Preferably Pav though as Fyfe has plenty of time.

Wouldnt matter who they gave the C to, Pav would be the one doing the talking and leading on the park.

Would Freo do dual captaincy?
I wouldn't have thought so. Its weird because all talk before 2014 was that de Boer would be the next captain. But after the year he has had it certainly puts question marks on him
Interesting, who do you think would get it, if Pav doesn't?
Fyfe would be the front runner
Yeah that's what I was thinking.

If Fyfe was the team favorite then why isnt he in the leadership team?  Just sayin

Just because you're a good player when you're young doesn't necessarily mean you're also going to have developed leadership abilities when you're young as well.

Age and experience would be the major factor. Pavlich, McPharlin, de Boer, Mundy, Spurr and Sandi are the current leadership group.

I think you are mistaking what I wrote.  I am suggesting that the players don't currently see Fyfe as a leader or he would have been voted in to the leadership group.

I think Fyfe will be Freo's first Brownlow medalist but I dont see him being a captain.

a bit like Cotchin, good player but not a natural leader. He is only the leader as others want him to lead

Your best player is not always the best captain.  Good example is Collingwood - Nick Maxwell is nowhere near the best player at Collingwood but from all reports was a fantastic captain.

That's basically what I meant :P He's not developed as a leader atm... maybe one day he might be, who knows, but atm I doubt it'll be him.

I was going to say exactly the same things, but figured i would get shot down.

Watching games Fyfe doesnt scream leadership to me. Mundy or Barlow would be the front runners IMO.

He did recently get replaced by Scott Pendlebury, their best player :P
