Round 15      AFL Round 17

Dublin Destroyers   v   Mexico City Suns   Crooke Park
New Delhi Tigers   v   PNL Reindeers   Tata Stadium   EurAsian Premiership Match
Tokyo Samurai   v   Beijing Thunder   Tokyo Olympic Stadium   Asian Premiership Match
Cairo Sands   v   New York Revolution   Borg El Arab Stadium   AAP Alliance Premiership Match
Seoul Magpies   v   Buenos Aires Armadillos   Seoul World Cup Stadium
Wellington Warriors   v   Berlin Brewers   The Basin Reserve
Pacific Islanders   v   Moscow Spetsnaz   BSP Stadium, Suva, Fiji
Cape Town Cobras   v   Sao Paulo Pumas   Newlands Cricket Ground   AAP Alliance Premiership Match
London Royals   v   Toronto Wolves   London Olympic Stadium

Dublin v Mexico City

Dublin let a game slip against PNL, meaning the Minor Premiership, and a top 2 spot, is looking unlikely. A loss against Mexico City would made it extremely difficult. Mexico City just continue to go on its merry way.....

Dublin run home:
15   H   Mexico City Suns
16   H   New Delhi Tigers
17   A   Pacific Islanders

Really hard to see the Destroyers dropping Round 16 or 17, but they may slip to 4th if they drop this week's game...

Mexico City run home:
15   A   Dublin Destroyers
16   H   Toronto Wolves
17   H   Cairo Sands

Difficult run home for the Suns! The Armadillos are still in the Minor Premiership hunt, while the Suns play teams ranked 3rd, 7th and 8th in the last 3 weeks.

New Delhi v PNL

New Delhi are little chance of knocking off the Reindeers this week, but PNL might revert to its old ways of losing the impossible.

New Delhi's run home:
15   H   PNL Reindeers
16   A   Dublin Destroyers
17   A   Wellington Warriors

Will probably focus all its energies for the last round!

PNL's run home:
15   A   New Delhi Tigers
16   H   Tokyo Samurai
17   A   Cape Town Cobras

Reindeers shouldn't sweat this clash too much, but Tokyo and Cape Town are a bit more tricky. A home final likely, a top 4 spot still possible.

Tokyo v Beijing

The winner of this likely takes out the Asian Cup! Beijing would love a bit of silverware like that, and Tokyo also.

Tokyo's run home:
15   H   Beijing Thunder
16   A   PNL Reindeers
17   A   Seoul Magpies

Tokyo's last part of the year has been much stronger, and would hope to win 2 of these last 3.

Beijing run home:
15   A   Tokyo Samurai
16   H   Cairo Sands
17   A   London Royals

Tough run home for Beijing, but all 3 of its next opponents are prone to shockers.

Cairo v New York

New York were far superior to Cairo in Round 14, but Cairo will still go in as strong favourites.

Cairo run home:
15   H   New York Revolution
16   A   Beijing Thunder
17   A   Mexico City Suns

Cairo was highly touted as a top 4 fancy to start the year, but are now only in the 8 on percentage with teams (particularly Berlin) hot on its tails. ANY loss could see them miss out, 2 would likely see them out.

New York run home:
15   A   Cairo Sands
16   H   Seoul Magpies
17   A   Toronto Wolves

The Revolution are still looking for that elusive win, and have been horribly unlucky in the last couple of weeks. Can they snag a win? Tough but not impossible.

Seoul v Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires are a game clear in 2nd, but still need to keep winning. Seoul's struggling for leadership with Dangerfield in poor form. Sniff an upset maybe.

Seoul run home:
15   H   Buenos Aires Armadillos
16   A   New York Revolution
17   H   Tokyo Samurai

Seoul could win all 3, or lose all 3.

Buenos Aires run home:
15   A   Seoul Magpies
16   H   Wellington Warriors
17   A   Sao Paulo Pumas

Buenos Aires still in the box seat for a home Qualifying final, and maybe even the minor Premiership. Sao Paulo still entices in Round 17.

Wellington v Berlin

I think the Warriors are a lot better team then 2 wins suggest, and Berlin can't afford any slip ups.

Wellington run home:
15   H   Berlin Brewers
16   A   Buenos Aires Armadillos
17   H   New Delhi Tigers

May need to win twice to get off the bottom of the ladder....

Berlin's run home:
15   A   Wellington Warriors
16   H   Pacific Islanders
17   A   Moscow Spetsnaz

Berlin is in 9th place, and still may need to win all 3 to make the 8. Will start favourites against Wellington and Pacific, but Moscow the biggest stumbling block. They could win all 3 and still miss out!

Pacific v Moscow

Moscow continue to put on the pressure on 4th place, and Pacific will be hoping to stop this charge.

Pacific run home:
15   H   Moscow Spetsnaz
16   A   Berlin Brewers
17   H   Dublin Destroyers

Pacific have a very tough run home, and the Spoon could still be heading there.

Moscow run home:
15   A   Pacific Islanders
16   H   Cape Town Cobras
17   H   Berlin Brewers

Moscow will fancy themselves in each match, but Cape Town and Berlin shouldn't be taken lightly.

Cape Town v Sao Paulo

Cape Town are a much better chance for victory now that Ablett has gone down, but the Pumas still have Sloane, Jacobs and Gunston and a host of Premiership stars...

Cape Town run home:
15   H   Sao Paulo Pumas
16   A   Moscow Spetsnaz
17   H   PNL Reindeers

Horror run home playing 4th, 5th and 6th, and need to win all 3 if they are any chance of making the finals.

Sao Paulo run home:
15   A   Cape Town Cobras
16   H   London Royals
17   H   Buenos Aires Armadillos

Pumas still have a strong hold on 4th, and could even climb to 3rd if they are good enough. 2 losses and either Moscow or PNL could take that spot....

London v Toronto

The Royals are fading fast, and the Wolves have strong momentum going on. Wolves are amazingly a game in the 8, but aren't safe.

London run home:
15   H   Toronto Wolves
16   A   Sao Paulo Pumas
17   H   Beijing Thunder

London need to win all 3 to make the finals, and Toronto and Sao Paulo are a difficult next 2 weeks.

Toronto run home:
15  A   London Royals
16  A   Mexico City Suns
17  H   New York Revolution

The Wolves should make the finals, but even one loss could see them miss amazingly.

Don't be surprised to see it happen next week as well.  :P

Hopefully we have a forward line to name. I'm getting a little worried. Might have to flood.  :o

Purple 77

Also, if London was to beat Toronto, I would be greatly appreciative...

Going on percentage, I reckon I have a better chance at knocking out Toronto on equal wins than I do Cairo. So hopefully Mexico can knock them off, so need one of London or... hey New York again!

I will give you my first draft pick AK if you just help me out here  :P

Looks like it's time for Rory Sloane to step up and lead the team in the absence of Ablett. Sam Jacobs most likely going to be assisting...
Still last time didn't captain Ablett we won a premiership so can't be too bad can it? :-\

And the Suns Goddard and Destroyers Rockliff look likely to both miss this big encounter through suspension...

... Sun Brian Lake also not looking at that flash.

Berlin's JJ Kennedy set to miss also

Cairo's Mumford escapes with a reprimand.

I was afraid the #NoMummyNoCairo calls would return.  :(

JJK has annoyed me so much this year. I really don't care. My other forwards aren't a lot worse really. Aside from Zorko who is mountains better.
