Should I have Hunt or Waters in my team!?

Prospector_1

What are the pros and cons of each, in your opinion?

JackBeQuick

what do you think? why are you choosing between these players? what are your plans for which ever player you choose?

Luv it Jack, let's ge some research and thinking happening in these decisions. It will make them better, and we'll also be happier with why we decided that way - rather than "DT101 told me" (no offence intended DT101, I like your ratings and comments).

I think i am going to have to go with hunt on this one. He just looks like he will be in better form this year and hopefully he will play almost every game. I am just planning to invested him and hopefully sell him quite early.

Prospector_1

Do you know about how much you want to make on him, and about how long that'll take?

This might help ...

Also consider he had a 40% discount, so if or when he gets around $260K , that is likely the maximum increase you will see.

Very good point (I wish I'd said that first!).

NOWAY

Yes. But that is only and 8k profit.. is that enough?

I wouldn't have thought so. I wonder how long that would take - maybe happen by first price change after round 3?

PS, that maths just doesn't sound right - 10% of 260K is 26K, so wtf?

Is it? This is for your team. How much do you think a cash cow in the backs should make this year? (if this is your reason for having hunt) How much do you anticipate waters to increase by?

I was being conservative and guessing he would rise to a little less than his "full" price. If there was no discount, he would be at about $274K

Prospector_1

$164,100 up to $274,000 is $110K profit. That's more than 8K!

(We are talking Hunt, aren't we?)

valkorum

Thats how I worked it out too Prospector.  I was trying to work out where $8k came from.

He would need a 69 average to top out around $275,000 (8 - 10 weeks)

Prospector_1

Well, that's quite tidy if he stays fit that long. I wonder how else you can make that kinda dough?
