you see i actually don't mind Sunday night games or Thursday or Monday i just like being able to watch as many games live a week as i can i must be the only one that sees it this way

i think we'll just see more Thursday night games

with the normal 3 day fixture i can only watch 6 games live which i don't like

I doubt we'll get more than the six we get now as Pay TV will still want the slice they get now, probably be asking for more next TV deal. :(  An extra game would be great though.

what do you mean Pay TV? i have foxtel and can only watch 6 games live a week with a normal 3 day fixture

key word being 'live' not recorded

elephants

6 games a week? Holy flower kb haha, how do you do it?

I probably go 2 a week max...

And that`s only because some games are on pretty much at the same time
But yeah we watch 6 games each weekend when we are home.

6 games a weekend? I religiously watch the Friday night game as it's like a ritual but that's the only game I'll watch all weekend. I'm too busy doing other stuff, and footy takes up all of Saturday!!

i just love watching any game no matter what time it's on

not to mention i don't have a life :-X

my ideal fixture

Thursday 7:10pm
Friday 7:40pm
Saturday 1:40pm, 4:40pm, 7:40pm, 7:40pm
Sunday 12:10pm, 2:45pm, 5:30pm

means you only miss one game on Sat night

and the Sun night game is done by 8:15pm

the 12:10pm game to be at the MCG and the 3:10pm to be interstate and the 5:45 etihad or interstate doesnt have to be exactly that but you get the idea

not going to lie, I'm a little bit confused over what the difference is between a sunday night game and thursday night (like, to the common AFL fan- obviously the difference is the day of the week :P ). I assumed low turn outs etc. for sunday night games might be due to people having to get up early the next day for like work/school/ uni etc. on monday, but obviously most people with that issue on sunday would also have that issue with thursday/ the following friday.

If it's not like work the next day, is it like religious reasons, like people have to go to church and can't make the footy? Or is it just that people want to chill out for the last night of the weekend?

If anyone would prefer to go to a live AFL match on a thursday than a sunday, I'd like to hear your opinion :P

Good point i like you would be interested to hear peoples thoughts as the pro's and con's from a Thursday/Sunday night game to me are pretty much identical. Only thing i can come up with is for the Thursday, people would be hanging for their footy fix whereas on a Sunday we've all had a good fix of footy already and people's interest may of waned a little and be feeling i might just stay home and catch it on the TV but this is more an issue for a non supporter of either team playing on those nights, those that just enjoy getting along to the footy and seeing a good contest between the two teams playing.

the way I see is Thursday night football is like an entree, while Sunday night is like a dodgy dessert.

Thursday you're getting ready for the weekend, Sunday you know the week is just starting and you gotta go to work the next day

I knew he was flowering retarded

Thursday night is just annoying, but most people have nothing better to do then :P Dont people go to church on Sunday night?

not even if you paid me :P

nah not everyone mate. infact I don't know one person that does

Ringo

I prefer Thursday night to Sunday Night -

Thursday Night is a great lead in to the weekend of football - would not like to see it every week though but half a dozen for the year would be fine.
