Would you prefer Rock gets tagged ... or does the tagging this week?

Tagged or tagging and I don't see him scoring over 70... I doubt Hinkley uses him to tag with how successful he's been on the ball this year.

I am and that is why I will be watching closely on Saturday night as I suspect Robbo will be wearing him and if he scores OK then will consider.

And if he comes out this week and smashes it he becomes unobtainable from a mid price fail perspective and you would essentially be sideways trading a prem to him. If you pass this week you may as well forget about him. No waiting and seeing at this point.

Yeah, exactly this. Which is why I'm just accepting that I won't have Rocky this year. I wish I'd started with him and Gaff but I'm not getting either of them now.
Gaff? Is that supposed to be Sheed?

Whoops. Yeah, meant Sheed. The ideal lineup would've been two premiums, Brouch, Rocky, Sheed, Libba, Walsh, Constable and then Butters, Scott, Atkins/Gibbons/Miers on the bench. But that would've been seen as ludicrous coming into the season. Think how good our Def and Fwd lines would've been if we'd done that?? I'd have Kelly and Boak, Lloyd and Whitfield (probably Hurn over Whitfield, unfortunately, but you get the point). What could have been...

It depends on your situation IMO.

For instance, my current midfield is Macrae, Cripps, Fyfe, Neale, M Crouch, Libba, Walsh, Butters, Constable, Scott & Gibbons.

I don't have any underperforming premiums and my midpricer in Libba is playing well also.

Therefore, my only trade candidates to Rocky are rookies. Constable, Butters & Scott are cheap and playing well, so they're off the table.

That leaves Gibbons & Walsh. Gibbons is looking like a slow burn and Walsh's 75 average has been slightly underwhelming for his 200k price tag after his strong JLT performances.

I could make the trade from Gibbons or Walsh this week, or I could wait and see how Rocky performs with Wines in the side and a potential Robbo tag. Any potential big price rise from Rocky is nulified somewhat by the 30-50k increase I should get from Gibbons & Walsh anyway, so I don't see much harm in waiting a week.

What could of been indeed. I probably got a few more things wrong than I would like but I did get a few things right. I would probably throw Cousins into that what could've been list even tho I would be losing points with Constable at M9 which is exactly what is happening in my current team anyway. Brouch/Libba/Walsh M6-8 & Constable running amok at M9.

Mat0369

If I'm Brisbane I'm tagging Wines over any other Port mid anyway. Half the reason Setters would have gone to Rocky is because he couldn't find the pill and he could use it as a learning tool take him to the ball

For what it’s worth, that midfield is pretty much the top ranked team now. Neale, Fyfe, Sloane and all the midpricers, but no Walsh.

Also has BSmith, Williams, Newman down back, and Billings and Greene up forward...

Bully

Hands up who traded him in this week?

RaisyDaisy

I know he was unlucky to get concussed, but far out this guy is the ultimate burn man

Even before the concussion, he was putting in a stinker

Was the second highest possession winner on the ground at HT. I think only Neale had more. Just wasn't stuffing the sheet with marks or tackles like he had the previous 2 weeks. Probably should have had a shot on goal to go with it just before HT but Houston took the advantage for who knows what reason and ran into traffic before spraying it.  He actually just laid a couple tackles and got a touch right before it happened. Really unlucky since he just went hard at the ball and copped one in the head the other way. Could have happened to just about anyone.

I'm hoping those that jumped on knee jerk and jump off. He should still make some decent coin, it's just going to stunt now with the concussion score in the mix. He now has his annual injury out of the way and will hopefully have a big one against a struggling Richmond in Adelaide next week.

fanTCfool

...that's if he plays. Must be a strong chance to miss given the extent of the concussion.

And if he does, then I might just have to use my one allocated 'Rockytrade' for the year... :-\

Mat0369

I think I can hold if he misses. I have Butters and Scott on the bench and I think I can last a week with having to field one or the other. It did look pretty bad so I wouldn't be shocked if he does. Players pull up differently though. I'm trying to remember the one from last week but it escapes my memory. Collins round 1 as well.
