I really want him but do you guys think people aren't picking him because of his price or because he of the new inclusions to the side?
Will they effect the goat to much?

History says he won't go 120+ again

Only GAJ, Pendles and Swan in their careers have had multiple seasons of 120+

Now Rocky may go on a tear and average above 120 again but yet again history says he starts the season slow and comes home with a wet sail.

The unknown of how the new additions will affect the points distribution in the Brisbane Mids is the main reason not to pick him early IMO.

History and the new additions mean I cannot pick Rocky to start the season. His price IMO is not relevant at this stage.
How many players have gone 130+ and not backed it up the year after though? ;)

All 4 of them. GAJ has done it once but failed once too. The other 3 didn't even go close the next year.
Out of curiosity, who were the other 3?

Luke Hodge 2005 went 135.3, dropped to 103.6 in 2006
Jonathon Brown 2006 went 140.5, dropped to 111.3 in 2007
Chris Judd 2006 went 131.8, dropped to 106.4 in 2007
Rockliff 2014 went 132 avg, ? in 2015
Ablett has gone 130+ in 2008,2009, 2012 and 2014

Barry Hall went at 131.8 (22 games) then 117.7 (22 games) too.

Did they bounce back after the fall?

Hodge 135, 104, 111
Brown 140, 111, 100
Judd 132, 106, 110
Hall 132, 118, 79
Goddard 130, 108, 101
Real GOAT 132, 140, 129, 127, 138, 129, 137, 115

Still hasn't shown that he can score well with a fit Beams in the team.

I don't care who is in the team with him look at his last 6 scores this year he is a gun , goat whatever people choose to call him I'm just hoping a lot of people are thinking like you and don't choose him  :P

Holz

Not sure we need two threads about Todd Goldstein.

I have said this as well, people expecting 130 from him might be shocked but at 550k anything over 110 is a win, and Beams was missing in all but one of Rocky's massive games which was like a mid 120' from memory Shaker. Filthy ball pigs don't change though  :P

Exactly filthy ball pigs don't change and if you worry about Beams stealing his points then both Selwoods and Dangers scoring will be affected and I have seen people saying Pendles will improve with Treloar there to share the burden  :o ? makes no sense to me just pick the best scoring players I say  ;)

Grufflez

Guys like Pendles and Selwood have great scoring histories playing alongside other good mids i reckon Pendles will love playing alongside more talent in an up and coming team, lock him in.

Disappointed that you didn't refer to him as Todd GOATstein tbh

Could be Todd COLDstein next year, but that is yet to be determined and I shall not speculate.

Back on topic, Rocky is a lock for mine. Someone mentioned that we hadn't seen him with a fit Beams, but we really didn't see a fully fit Rocky this year either, absolute magnet and will be for some time.

flower this guy. Always plays shower when I pick him, kills it when I don't. I'm trading him to Higgins via DPP.
