I feel like I'm alone here, but does anyone else think Port Adelaide are really good?

Come September I think Sydney, Hawthorn, Fremantle, Geelong, Collingwood in that order are ahead of Port Adelaide in terms of premiership contention.

I just think those other sides at full strength in finals will beat Port Adelaide, nothing against Port, they are a very good side.

How you can say that when they are clearly on top of the ladder is a mystery.....

The only Full Strength side they have played of the 5 I mentioned is Sydney and they lost. Geelong and Hawthorn had 4-5 of their best 22 out each, Freo had a few out and have not yet played Collingwood.

To me it is harsh, but Port have not beaten a full-strength contender yet.

Sydney were not at full strength either

They only had Tippett and Pyke out and covered them very well.

McGlynn was missing and he's been one of the best small pressure forwards with Ballantyne

Port have been good, but ultimately their draw has been a lot easier than any of the top 6

Schulz doing as he has all season, bullying the lower sides by kicking bags against them.

A bit like JJK and Jack.  :P
Yeah Nigey Jack is not in the same league as the Sarg. 8)

sorry, I overlooked him, one of Sydney's most important players.

Mailman the 2nd

Doesn't really matter in the end for this year though, Port still can do a lot a damage come september, they'll just find it tougher next year

kilbluff1985

was loopholing Higgins in the bench going to take his score and put S Martin on my Ruck bench for Thurlow

Higgins is the safer option since it's in the bank

Thanks KB.
Although you've doubled up on the Doggies there.
Their scores look pretty low, Port must have score high.

I traded Higgins to Parker but I wasn't too sure if it was a great idea. We've seen how well Higgins can score, just not consistently.

Port didn't have Lobbe against Freo which I'd argue was as big or bigger out than Freo's given the opposition's ruckman.

Kind of agree with you but it's all a bit of a irrelevant anyway as you can only beat what's in front of you. They'll be tough to beat at Adelaide Oval in the finals regardless of the strength of the opposition.
