Yep, IT can ball! On a bargin contract.. Can hide his defensive deficiencies with Bradley and Smart too :) good move but we still don't have a centre..

Miami are threats in the east now :-\ how does Pat Riley do it?

Very happy with the addition of DJ, i think that he is okay being that 6th man and OKC definitely need someone like that, our last 2 6th man have both been traded and one is a possible MVP candidate :(
Reggie > DJ though ;) I guess you got Kanter too so overall not a terrible trade deadline for OKC!
100% rather Reggie, but we would have no where near the amount of money that he would want from us.
Which is strange because all I heard last season was that OKC wasn't making any big moves so they could give a big contract to Reggie... Guys like Afflalo and Asik were out there for fairly cheap and OKC had two first round picks to move!

I just think they haven't exactly made use of Westbrook and Durant's primes so far :-\

how many bloody wings do Houston want :o

Jay

Just looking back on the Pierce and KG trade, the haul for Boston now stands at:
Tyler Zeller
2 unprotected first round picks
James Young
Isaiah Thomas
Small trade exception for Humphries
Gerald Wallace

That's gotta be one of the biggest rip off's ever considering all Brooklyn is left with from that deal now is Thad Young  ;D

Cookie Monster

The shouldn't have expected much from KG and PP considering they were like 36, it was a rip off from the start.

@jayman

What do you think of IT coming to your club, do you think he will start?  Will definitely provide some scoring power in the guard position.

BKN were trying to buy the chippy attitude (KG PP) Boston had against (LeBron) Miami/Cleveland bcos they thought they were going to contend but instead got dumped by their billion dollar boyfriend (Prokhorov)

Love the acquisition! He was a really efficient scorer in Sacramento, as you well know, and this season he has proven extremely effective in a 6th man role.

Isiah is the best player on this roster so he has to start. With his small size though, we can't afford to start him with Bradley. That backcourt would get torched by larger guards. I think Isiah and Smart could work though, playing Bradley as a 6th man.

WE ARE COMING

89-104 win for OKC against 5th placed Mavs, with only 12 points from your MVP.

Now equalling Phoenix at 29-25 for 8th in the West.

I tell you what, OKC finish anywhere in the West, teams would not want to face them. A fresh KD hitting his stride with Serge Iblockya and Russel Westdunk they can take it all the way home.

I'm backing my boys, watch out in March, form the 5th to the 25th, OKC play a total of 9 home games and 2 away, with only 4 of them coming from top 4 seeded teams in Chicago, Toronto, Atlanta and the Clippers.

They take those 9 at least they would be surging!

Watch this space!

Philly are starting to piss me off, are they ever going to actually develop their players? Their return for MCW is pretty good but trading McDaniels for a 2nd round pick is ridiculous - Houston got a steal there.

I know a lot of people that will be pissed of with the KJ trade and to be honest I don't really understand it. I think he might have been on a 1 year deal so maybe Philly figured he would be asking for more money then he was worth and didn't want to deal with the headache. That is the only thing I can come up with otherwise it was stupid getting rid of him. MCW they were shopping in the off-season so the Lakers pick is good return for him and they keep getting assets

Toga

THe KG deal is an interesting one, might be beneficial to both sides if the return of the T-Wolves' golden boy can start pulling some more numbers to games.

The Lakers pick is top 5 protected this year so its unlikely it will be conveyed to Philly. Next year its only top 3 protected but I find it hard to believe that the Lakers will be awful again next season. Kobe coming back and they have plenty of cap space to go out and get a couple of free agents. They only have Kobe, Young, Randle and Kelly guaranteed for next season. With their top 5 pick and Houston's first round pick they have enough flexibility to either draft good young talent or trade for a superstar that may come available.

I think its reasonable to say the Lakers pick next year will be at about the #10 range. And Philly spent a #11 pick two years ago on MCW anyway - who went out and won rookie of the year. What more did they expect from a kid tossed into a terrible situation.

MCW has shown big strides on defense this season too, holding opposing PGs to a PER of 12.1 (league average is 15) and also the Philly defense is 8.8 points per 100 possessions better with MCW on the floor.

Philly have set themselves back another couple of years this trade deadline. And for what, you ask? A centre rich draft, a position where they have spent their last two first round picks!

Jay

Hack-A-Jordan is in full force here. Is 3-10 so far - Spurs hammering the strategy right before half time.

valkorum

Apparently the Lakers coaches played a joke on Hill.  Called him in to the office and made out like they were gonna trade him.

BAHAHAHAHA - if this is true
