Kevin Love deserves the max. 3rd in the league in PER behind KD and LeBron and also 3rd in Win Shares behind those same  two.

but is he ... 'the man'??  ;)

he hasn't led the Wolves to regular play-offs and even then (my memory's hazy) have they been to the play-offs with him??
just like STAT, good player but not going to get them to a Conference Final or win a championship ...

max is for KD, LeBron, CP3 etc, etc ...

I wouldn't give Melo max ...  :P   ;)

Its unlikely he'll ever be the best player on a championship team but he still deserves his money. Your point about him never being in the playoffs is a good one, but I look at the roster he has had around him and its pretty easy to see why he hasn't made it. His PG shoots 30% from the field and the centre is even a worse rim protector than he is ;) put Love in the east and he would've been to the playoffs multiple times.

Stat was a bloody good player though, and at the time it wasn't crazy that Knicks offered him the max. He actually did very well there in his first season :o

With guys like Gordon Hayward getting the max, I dont think its saved just for guys like KD and LBJ any more  :-X

I think if KLove goes to the Cav's then they will have a better BIG 3 than at Miami

Lebron = Lebron
Irving = A younger, non injury prone CP3
KLove > Bosh - easily better than Bosh

Then you have Waiters/Dellavadova, Varejao/Haywood, Thompson/Miller/Jones and now possibly Marion.  Even with a fit Derrick Rose I cant see anyone in the East challenging them. (I haven't included Wiggins/Bennett as I assume they are gone as part of the trade for Love)

Jay

I still think D-Wade over those 4 years they went to the finals was better than what Irving will be over the next 4 years :-X if that makes any sense haha.

Oops, I meant D-Wade not CP3.  Must have had a few too many scotches already.

Love to Cleveland
Young + Wiggins to Minnesota
Bennett to Philly
This is confirmed.

Stoopid Minni; I'd much rather Bennett than Young.
See I like it from Minny, but depends on how likely you think it is that Bennett can turn his career around. I'd go with a proven guy in Thad who can help right away, rather than backing Bennett to turn it around. He is coming off the worst rookie season ever by a number 1 pick.

PG: Ricky Rubio
SG: Kevin Martin
SF: Andrew Wiggins
PF: Thad Young
C: Nikola Pekovic

I kinda like it. There's going to be no rim protection between Thad and Pek but it can't be much worse than last year when they had Love. If Rubio improves (surely he will), this team is one to watch out for.. Probably not next season, but later on when Wiggins starts hitting his straps, it'll be a good team.

How long do you think KMart's got left in him? By getting Young instead I feel like they've gone too in-between; not a complete rebuild but not a championship or even 2nd round contender.

Philly smart to get Bennet there though. Noel, Embiid, Bennett, MCW and another lottery pick coming... juicy, absolutely juicy.
