Bennett actually looking good

I know its only summer league but 13.3 points 7.8 boards on 42.6% shooting is alright.

Wiggins looks really good too.

not sure if moving for love for those 2 is smart, Love is expensive and it might be better to go after a cheaper rim protector.

Bennett is so heavily criticized that I think he's actually becoming a bit undervalued. I think he'll be a good player but please dont read anything into summer league...

If Wiggins and Bennett is what it takes to get arguably the 3rd best player in the league, Kevin Love you have to do it. Cavs wont win the title in the next couple of years unless they get Love and who knows if Wiggins will develop into a star.

I'd take the sure thing 26 points, 12 rebounds from Love rather than potential of Wiggins and Bennett.

It depends what team you are building and who you are pairing Love with. Wiggins gives them a defender to pair with LeBron, someone that can guard the 1-3 spot in a side that already has Kyrie that plays no D and a soft inside. To lose Wiggins and gain Love, who is good offensively, you also gain a guy that is a turnstile on D with no one next to him to protect the rim.

If I am Love, I wouldn't be turning down a trade to go to GSW, you can work with the outside shooters in Curry and Klay (who they have said is off the table) while having Bricky guarding the wings and most importantly, Bogut on the inside to compliment him. That is something that the Cavs don't have.

The Cavs have the best player in the world and I cant imagine Love would turn down playing with him.

I think Cleveland should go all in on a LeBron/Love/Irving big 3 and see where that gets them. Wiggins is no sure thing.

The Wolves hold the cards, the only power Love has is saying if he will or won't sign an extension with the team they ship him too. If the Warriors offer up the best trade and I am Love, I am not shooting them down either. You go and play alongside arguably the best young PG in the league, he get's a rim protector and a wing defender, two things he has never had in his career along with the outside shooting of Klay and Curry, something else those Wolves teams seriously lacked. He makes out well either way

Wolves hold the cards, but Love will just leave them at the end of the season if they dont trade him. He's said that he'll re-sign in Cleveland or GS iirc. I dont think Warriors could match the Cavs offer of Wiggins, Bennett and a first though. But yes as you say, the Warriors would be an awesome fit for Love too.

I bet on Minny being stubborn and just keeping him.

It's their own fault he won't resign anyway. They wanted to reserve the max for Rubio which was just stupid and a slap in the face. The best thing that could happen for Houston is that Minny doesn't trade him. They can offer him a max deal and a shot at a ring with Harden and Dwight

Minny is just such a showerty organisation, credit to KG for actually getting that rubbish to the conference finals. Look at their drafting recently, guys like Flynn and Wesley Johnson come to mind.

They should've just given Love the max, but they didnt and now he's out of there.

I still cant work out Houston's off-season but I guess they just really want that 3rd star so even if they couldnt get one this year they'll have the cap space to go after a Rondo, Love, Aldridge, Gasol etc. next year.

The reason why I like keeping Wiggins Bennett is yes defence but also because they are cheap.

I'm not sure where it will come from but a ring protector for 10 million and Wiggins benett is better to me than just love.

agreed, why do you need more scoring and little "D" when you've already got LeBron and Irving??
(not saying LeBron doesn't play 'D' btw  ;))

Even though Bennett looks alright watch Noel makes me mad.

Irving Wiggins LeBron TT Noel with waiters 6th man.

That D would be very very impressive. LeBron needs a ring protector to extend his career as he should play solely wing defense .

Boston sign Evan Turner.

This move doesn't get us in the playoffs, nor does it help our lottery chances. Yay for mediocrity!

j959

J-man and others, what do you think it would take Phoenix to pry Thaddeus Young away from (a likely tanking) Philly??
