sounds pretty good for some sick draft picks. team will be stacked in 3-4 years time.
Building a whole team through the draft doesn't normally make a contender. Keep Rondo and try to land another star.
Well you've said yourself it's not a big FA market.
So that leaves the draft.

The fact that Jeff Green is your second best player with Rondo on the roster already says how shower the Celtics are right now, better off to just let it go and suck for a little while.

It's not a big FA market, but I wouldn't bet against someone wanting to come play with Rondo.
OKC built through the draft but they've ended up with a GOAT talent in KD, it's unlikely we'd be so lucky.

Didn't have Rondo last year and when we did he was still rusty. Was also BS first season coaching. Additions of Smart and Young are nice and there's sure to be improvements from Sully and Klynyk. We could be a very young fringe playoff team with plenty of picks.

like ive said, Rondo isn't a useful piece. We have Marcus Smart now, who is prob a bit better skill set to fit in to a contender side. We are 3-4 years away from contending unless we get a centre piece to a franchise, which we wont.
Please explain how he isn't a useful piece. Marcus Smart is yet to play a game, don't compare him to Rondo just yet. You've seen how a team with Rondo as their best player can challenge in the east - heck, we almost took down Miami.

Bad move leaving Larry in Indiana, Lance. Can see him going downhill quickly..

But at 9mill a season, might be worth the risk for Charlotte.

Boogie says Rondo is the best point guard in the league.

So OKC went out and got that shooter in Morrow. Good move by them

He's gonna chuck up 30 shots a night.

Possibly, but it was still the right move for Charlotte to get him. Still think Big Al will be their go to guy. Don't forget Lance led Indiana in assists and recorded the most trip dubs in the nba.

really liking the hornetts lineup this year

PG: Kemba Walker
SG: Lance Stephenson
SF: Michael Kidd Gilchrist
PF: Noah Vonleh
C:  Al Jefferson

Jay

I do to Holz, although there is still the problem of perimeter shooting. Going into the off-season, everyone said that they should put shooters around Big Al to give him room in the post and to not allow double teams. They haven't really addressed this issue.

Kemba shot 32% from deep last year, Lance is also 32% for his career. MKG has only hit three 3s in his career.

So I don't think they're ready to be a contender in the easy but they'll be a fun team to watch.

Makes sense. Cleveland gotta pull the trigger on that one.
yeah for sure, maybe only have to throw in Bennett is too tempting to refuse
Yep I heard it'd be Wiggins, Bennett, 1st round pick for Love.

Interesting to see how far away Phoenix and Bledsoe are from a deal. http://www.sheridanhoops.com/2014/07/17/free-agency-leftovers-july-17-update-kevin-love-to-cleveland/
Phoenix offering 4 years/48mill and Bledsoe wants the max 5 years/80mill
