All the teams that are interested in Rondo, don't have sufficient assets to offer us.

They need Kevin Love but have absolutely nothing they can offer up in a trade. The best thing that could happen for the Rockets is for Love to play out the year in Minny, hit FA and then for them to swoop. He will go play for a contender and a FO that actually respects him, this is why someone like Boston has no chance of getting him. The set up is not that different from Minny, guys that jack up bad shots and a pass first PG that struggles to hit a jumper consistently. He is going to the Warriors, the Cavs or he waits a year and walks to somewhere like Houston
Boston have as good a chance as any in the form of a trade. Maybe not free agent signing though.

yeah but he would probably just leave after a year. He would stay in cleveland or GSW.
Wouldn't rule out him falling in love with the city, who knows. KG only had a year left on his contract when we got him iirc, he stayed for a while...

not sure what his pay check is gonna look like in Cleveland :-\ young blood is surely gonna want more than they can offer unless they clear cap somehow.

The Warriors have been unwilling to offer the Timberwolves more than a combination of former All-Star forward David Lee and 2012 lottery pick Harrison Barnes -- likely packaged with a future first-round pick -- in exchange for Love and swingman Kevin Martin, according to sources.

Golden State, however, knows it now has serious competition for Love, with the rejuvenated Cleveland Cavaliers known to be interested in trading for the All-Star power forward.

The Cavaliers have declared that Andrew Wiggins, last month's No. 1 pick in the NBA draft, is off-limits in any trade talks, but sources say Wolves president Flip Saunders is adamant that he won't surrender Love unless he gets back Thompson or Wiggins.

Varejao would have to move for the Cavs in order to take on Martins contract which the Wolves want to move

Fun Fact:

Dirk has never taken a single sponsorship deal either but still has career earnings of over $200M

Heard he rejected 40+ million dollar deals from LA and Houston. Now that's loyalty. #legend

Just picks for a champion, 4-time All Star, 2- time all defensive team, 2-time assist leader? Yeah, right...

Our best player will be Jeff Green if we trade Rondo for picks... That sound good to you?

Andrew3747

sounds pretty good for some sick draft picks. team will be stacked in 3-4 years time.

Building a whole team through the draft doesn't normally make a contender. Keep Rondo and try to land another star.

like ive said, Rondo isn't a useful piece. We have Marcus Smart now, who is prob a bit better skill set to fit in to a contender side. We are 3-4 years away from contending unless we get a centre piece to a franchise, which we wont.
