When his team mates can actually consistently contribute to a basketball game, then ill stop blaming them.

They've bailed LeBron out on a number of occasions... Dont act like he's playing with scrubs.

Yeah I'll give you that. Just don't come to me saying LeBron has never had help after seeing what Wade did in the 2011 finals, what Mike Miller and co. did to OKC in the 2012 finals, and then last year Ray Allen saving LeBron's ass... He's had his fair share of huge team-mate play.

and for sure most people said he only won those because he had help, so when they didnt show up and lebron did the supporting cast should recieve criticism. People act if Lebron was gifted the 2 rings he earnt by his "superstars" around him. Funny that when they win the championship it was all the help and we they lose its all Lebron. However the fact is Lebron bar 2011 has been amazing in every single playoff season.

Also Leonard doesnt deserve the finals MVP, LeBron was clearly the best player in the series.

LeBron always fronts up and says "i have to get better" how is it never his fault ???
Yeah I got nothing against LeBron's attitude. I'm talking just my general impression of the media and fans. There has got to be a point when we stop blaming his team-mates, its happened basically every year of his career bar 2011.
yeah flower the media, there r certain ppl i respect for the way they call it, by in large tho they r all trying to ride coat tails :-X

I'll give him the champ vs. Oklahoma, LBJ was simply too good for them that series and they had no idea how to play the Heat. But cmon, last year LeBron was bailed out, he should never have won those finals. 2011 he was awful, I really don't think we can just forget about that now that he's become a champion. That series will leave a taint on his legacy.

In the 2007 finals in the 4 straight losses to the Spurs, he averaged 22 points on 35% shooting, I don't give that a pass either. I'm going back through the stats and looking at MJ's wins in the finals... He really didn't have that much help.
Just taking '97 for example. MJ averaged 32 7 6 and they closed out Utah in 6. Pippen averaged 20 on an inefficent 42% shooting and then there was no other help for MJ. 3rd best scorer was Paxson averaging 8.

Pretty incredible that MJ went 6-0 without stellar performance from his supporting cast.

dont give me that, no help from MJ rubbish. MJ had a prime pippen who is better than anyone on the heat and better than ayone on the spurs for that matter. Thats a better stat line the "Finals MVP" (the one named, not the real one)

20 points from 42% from a guy who is a elite on defense is great. If Lebron had that instead of wade this series, I think they could have won.

Lebron 28.2 PPG on 57% FG 7.8 RPG 4 APG 2 SPG 3.8 TOPG
Kawhi 17.8 PPG on 61% FG 6.4 RPG 2 APG 1.6 SPG 1.8 TOPG

Lebron had a good series and was MVP of the finals easy. The only place he really was bad was on assists and TO however this was basically due to his team falling apart.

I'm not saying 'no help' I'm just saying that the two times LeBron has lost the finals with Miami, his help has been similar to that of what MJ had in a couple of his finals series in Chicago. LeBron certainly had the help to get it done in 2011, he should get 100% of the blame for that. Even this year its not like Wade and Bosh didn't show up at all, they averaged 30 between the two of them. In 1997 MJ only had Pippen and Kukoc combining for 28, everyone else was under 7 points per game... Not really elite help, yet MJ found a way to win against a very good Utah team. I just think losing in 5 is embarrassing for the best player in the world.

So by your logic, Wade should've got finals MVP over Dirk in 2011? Even though they lost... Winning counts for something dude. LeBron was outplayed by Kawhi in the pivotal games 3 and 4.

embiid injured makes things very interesting.

Celtics looking likely to take the punt on what could be the steal of the draft.

Embiid still goes top 3.

I doubt we trade up. We either use pick 6, or trade for Love.

Interesting read, and exactly what a good GM should be doing. In this league you need superstars, and pairing Love with Rondo would be a power duo in a weak eastern conference. Once you have the two superstars, guys start wanting to come play with you. So that's option 1, cash in the assets we've collected to get a superstar.

But if that doesn't work, you can't hold onto Rajon Rondo any longer. Having a player like him about to demand max money just doesn't make sense on a rebuilding team. I've always like Sacramento as a landing spot for Rondo so pick 8, Mclemore and IT would be the deal I'd look at. That gives us picks 6, 8, 17 in this draft to pair with the young guys in Sully, Olynyk and Bradley. The future looks good!

Interesting off-season ahead for Boston.
