Agree with you. Kings have been one of the biggest surprises of the year when DMC played. They've probably still beat most expert's expectations even with DMC missing a lot of games. Think the organisation thinks they have more talent than they actually do.

See your point with Collision. I just think they got rid of a potential starting will off point guard for a career backup. Just seemed like the kinda move that gets you stuck in the middle.

DC is getting just as many assists as IT and he has the ball less time in his hand.
DC takes far less shots than IT did and scoring 16pts a game (compared to 20ppg from IT)
DC is a better defender, rebounder and is only 2 years older than IT
DC is averaging 1.6 steals to 1.0 from IT

Both getting about the same money.  We had IT, DMC and RG all scoring last season and we couldn't win.  After reflection from this season I think people will say that it was the right move from the Kings.  I still dont see how IT is gonna fit at Phoenix - 3 PG's who all want to score.

The one that worries me is Ramon Sessions - not sure what giving him a contract was all about when we have a young backup who is starting to show promise (Ray McCallum).  He was the Summer League MVP so why not give him a chance to backup DC.  He started the last 12 games of last season and showed he can do it.  Giving him backup minutes this season would be great for his development.

Media saying that George Karl is the frontrunner for the Kings coaching position.

3 PGs was working for Phoenix (albeit 'sorta' ie Hornacek just runs with whoever is 'hot' at the time and with match-ups) until IT went down ... I think that's the strategy, Phoenix have no scoring power up front so it all has to come from the back court and then they have insurance for the two guard positions with 3 PGs ...

if IT could 'take a back seat' and just lead the 2nd unit it'd all be fine but i'm guessing that's some of the reason why Kings let him go so easily - he wants to start and he needs the ball in his hands for him to score ... luckily Dragic is adaptable enough to be a combo guard and catch'n'shoot instead of needing the ball as a scoring PG ...  ???   ;)

I agree valk, it was a good move for Kings, I think people just get caught up with scoring they forget all the other 'moneyball' stats and the biggest stat of all ... Ws ...   ::)   ;)

Free agents signed last off-season are eligible to be traded today. This means Lance, and Greg Monroe.

Hearing rumours of Lance potentially him traded back to Indiana. Seems logical.

Can't see Monroe agreeing to any trade (he has rights to veto) because he'll lose his bird rights if he does. If I'm Boston I offer up Clippers 2015 first rounder + Bass.

I ran Kelly today in my fantasy team, career line, 30pts, 3 x 3pts, 9reb, 3stls and 3blks.  :o It was against the 76ers though, my opponent is spewing.  ;D

you can't compare him to Dirk til he gets that consistency ...  ;)
look Dirk was the same when he started, he took a number of seasons to develop into a star-calibre player ...

Chris Mullin has sorta said he wants to be a front office guy.  George Karl has the cred and the style of play that Vivek and Pete want.

Another option being spoken about is Vinny Del Negro
