Love to Cleveland
Young + Wiggins to Minnesota
Bennett to Philly
This is confirmed.

Stoopid Minni; I'd much rather Bennett than Young.
See I like it from Minny, but depends on how likely you think it is that Bennett can turn his career around. I'd go with a proven guy in Thad who can help right away, rather than backing Bennett to turn it around. He is coming off the worst rookie season ever by a number 1 pick.

PG: Ricky Rubio
SG: Kevin Martin
SF: Andrew Wiggins
PF: Thad Young
C: Nikola Pekovic

I kinda like it. There's going to be no rim protection between Thad and Pek but it can't be much worse than last year when they had Love. If Rubio improves (surely he will), this team is one to watch out for.. Probably not next season, but later on when Wiggins starts hitting his straps, it'll be a good team.
How long do you think KMart's got left in him? By getting Young instead I feel like they've gone too in-between; not a complete rebuild but not a championship or even 2nd round contender.

Philly smart to get Bennet there though. Noel, Embiid, Bennett, MCW and another lottery pick coming... juicy, absolutely juicy.
don't think the fans would tolerate a complete Philly 13/14 tank season ...

I like it, gives them enough of a platform to build on - ie I don't see any value in having Rubio/Wiggins and whatever other young core they're going to put together to keep getting smashed and lose almost every game - that doesn't develop winners ...

this is ok and they might get lucky in the next couple to 3 drafts and/or have cap space to get some value-add talent ...

I would take Thadd in Phoenix over Monroe at max J-Man!  ;)

having an argument with a friend. 3 of us drafted two types of teams from players in their primes. The first was primes picking any nba player in history. the second is primes of current player only.

which teams would win in a 7 game series and why

Team A v Team B

Team A
I.Thomas
M.Jordan
S.Pippen
C.Barkley
H.Olajahwoon

Team B
M.Johnson
R.Miller
L.James
T.Duncan
K.Abdul Jabar

than Team C v Team D

Team C

D.Rose
D.Wade
L.James
K.Garnett
J.Noah
coach (G.Poppovic)

Team D

D.Lillard
K.Bryant
D.Nowitzki
L.Aldridge
M.Gasol
coach (Byran Soctt)

Jay

Team A would beat Team B
Reason: they have Michael Jordan

Team C would sweep Team D
Reason: They win every position apart from Kobe/Wade and Noah/Gasol being equal in their primes. Popovich would make a force out of that team. The advantage of KG vs Aldridge is huge.

B over A due height/length differential despite A having Jordan (eg look at the match-up nightmare of Duncan on Barkley!  :o  ;))

C over D on talent differential

Question - what did the coaches have to do with it for the 2nd 'series'??  :-\   ;)

Just added pick a current coach to coach the team. The 3 guys picked where Scott pop and doc

Interesting to see that Greg Monroe has accepted the Pistons qualifying offer, rather than negotiation an extension. This means he can become an unrestricted free agent next season.

Find it crazy that Detroit are going into next season with the same front-court as last year which caused so many problems. Monroe and Drummond is as paint clogging as it gets with neither expanding their range beyond the paint. Forcing Josh Smith to sag out to the perimeter and shoot all those jumpers he loves to take (and miss).

At least Van Gundy has signed some shooters to play around these 3 like Meek, Butler and Augustin but I still think that front-court, although talented, is doomed to fail.

If I was Detroit, I would've looked for a sign and trade for Monroe. He clearly doesn't fit.
