JBs-Hawks

They just rate Iggy over Curry as Iggy elevated his game more than Curry did. But Currys game was already at a higher level, and well Lebron just unlucky.

I'll reserve my thoughts for when I have calmed down :P

But in short, the presence of Curry and his elite shooting in itself is enough for Finals MVP. Has an impact on the game even when the shots aren't falling.

And LeBron deserved it more than Iggy too. Carried that whole team for 6 games. But maybe I'm just bitter :-X

your not being bitter.

this series was LBJ >> Curry >>>> Iggy

given its MVP of the winning team not MVP of the finals than Curry should have got it.

Exactly how I saw it.  Iggy winning is like saying if Cavs won then Delly gets MVP for "shutting down" Steph!?!? :o

Iggy guarded Bron better then Leonard did last year.

Brons numbers look big because he went big when Iggy wasn't guarding him.

Like tonight, most of Brons points came when either Iggy was off the court or not guarding him and Iggy lead the Warriors in points for the game with Steph

Everyone should know by now that I am not a Lebron fan but he was clearly the MVP of the finals.

That being said, Iggy was very good for the Dubs

Also I normally ignore advanced stats etc, but Iggy was number 1 in offensive rating, defensive rating and net rating. The dude flat out balled

Jay

26.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.6 steals, 0.2 blocks, 45% shooting, 41% 3pt shooting.

And on the winning team. Yet can't register a single vote? Not sure wtf they were smoking  ???

Read an article that said they actually need to properly define what the MVP should be rather than let different voters interpretations decide.

I think they need to make it a rule that a player on the losing team, can't win the Finals MVP. Because if it didn't happen this year, it never will.

Looking at it literally, its the most VALUABLE player. Going by that LeBron wins hands down.

And has only ever happend once with Jerry West.

Obviously LBJ was the MVP, but they too anal about giving it to the losing team. Iggy was the best player on the winning team.

No idea though matt why you don't pay attention to advanced stats. They don't lie.

Curry:
PER 21.1
USG% 29.4
AST% 28.1

Iggy:
PER 19.2
USG% 18.6
AST% 19.2

Sure, Iggy has the edge in the on-court/off-court stuff but there are a lot of other factors that go into that. Hard to measure his individual performance.

Andrew3737

He did the the sameish on lower USG. Iggy is a huge lockdown permiter defender. I bet if you add rebounds, D/win shares and winshares, Iggy wins.

plumdog millionaire

I think subconsciously a lot of Iguodala's votes went to him because once they started him, it seemed like the series swung in the Warriors' favour. 1-2 Iggy bench vs 3-0 Iggy starting
