Now that Majak has been dropped, hopefully for the remainder of the 2014 season. I am going to make a bold prediction and say a top four spot is not out of the question. Majak has shown ability to ruck, but needs to bring more to the team as the 2nd ruck option. Currie and even Wallace have also shown their rucking skills in the ressies and cannot get a game for the same reason as Daw. Not to mention, Goldy one-out has shown he can be the sole ruckman and actually plays his best being the number one.

Next thing for the Roos to deal with, is to lose the mentality that they can finish over the top of teams and play 4 QTRS of football, otherwise teams like richmond and the gold coast will get off to flyers and catch them napping again.

not only will this help goldy but the biggest benefactor from this is definitely petrie. Daw and Currie both are good rucks but they just dont know what they are doing outside that role.

Too often have I see them fill the space in front of petrie. Tarrant is alegit forward and I expect him to both be able to draw defenders away from petrie and not inexperienced enough to fill holes.

Tarrant Swallow and a fit Wells and we are a legit top 4 chance.

I thought one of the reasons you guys drafted Ben Brown after his good form in the VFL was so he could be someone that will pinch hit in the ruck but actually be a credible forward option. They were talking him up a lot last season prior to the draft. He will be an interesting prospect.

I really like Ben Brown and think he could be very useful for North.

He'd be a great forward option who could pinch hit like Mat said.

Hopefully he gets some games.

Think he's been injured recently though.

Well it appears Daw has handled the demotion from the Roos (as well as the sexual assault allegations) with aplomb. In the two games he has played in the VFL since being dropped he was named in the best last week and then this week was given the medal for best afield in the match against Geelong.

Not expecting him back in the side any time soon though...
