By the end of the year, these will be our 30+: Goodes (34), LRT (30), O'Keefe (33), Shaw (32), Malceski (30), Richards (31)

Of those I think Goodesy will go, maybe LRT too if he thinks he won't get a game. O'Keefe might request a trade. The rest will probably stay on for a bit.

Apart from Fletcher I don't think there will be many potential retirements at Essendon.

There are talks on-going about 2015 for Fletch

Chappy will go on.

Winderlich?

Jetta will be delisted

Goodes, O'Keefe and LRT all a chance.

Shaw maybe.

Shaw won't leave considering he's a good shot at getting a flag between this year and 2016.

LRT and O'Keefe good as done though, Goodes probably to hang his boots if the Swans go all the way but who knows

Well Glassy has gone already obviously.

X.Ellis has had his niggles but he's been finding some consistency and he's a pretty handy sub too so I think we'll extend his contract if he's happy to play on.

I feel like Coxy will go one more, then slide into the ruck-coaching role. Its a tough call though, I thought Lycett was excellent against the Suns on the weekend and Sinclair kicked 6 in the wafl last week then I believe he was best on ground (or very close to it) this week. So if he does call it quits, we have some very able young guns to step in!

So yeah, I had a nice little ramble but basically Glass (confirmed) and perhaps Coxy. The rest should play on though!

Brisbane Players over 30 at season end:

Brent Moloney 30
Ash McGrath 31
Brent Staker 30
Jonathan Brown 32 (33 in October)
Matt Maguire 30

Daniel Merrett and Joel Patful turn 30 in December.

Brown will more than likely retire - Has already ruled himself out of this weeks travel to Perth.
Moloney may retire if he can not get back into Seniors.
McGrath may be a possibility
Staker may also be in the mix if he can not get his body right.

For Melbourne:

Byrnes (retire or will get delisted)

Any other departures will be delistings, I reckon these guys:

James Strauss
Luke Tapscott
Daniel Nicholson

Maybe these guys:
Sam Blease
Michael Evans
Dom Barry

Then there is the event of Frawley leaving... but not too many changes I reckon this time

I know this has nothing to do with it but someone tell me why we got Armstrong from Sydney again? Bloody hell. We have an echelon of defenders, we don't need him.

Blease and Barry have played every VFL game this year. While Blease has shown some signs of improvement in the defense, he has been at the club going on 6 years and has very little to show for it. I don't think Barry has ever gotten more than 15 disposals in a VFL game, so they decided to put him in a negating role where he has shown something to his credit.

But, seeing as we have a plethora of able negators, and given the amount of time Blease has had at the club and that there are half-a-dozen people capable of what he is doing in the defense, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they were delisted.
