Glad.

Even though as a Hawk supporter I have a strong dislike of that club, still good for football.

Anyone going to Ryder the Paddy train now?

I will never question you again kb *kneels* please forgive my ignorance

They haven't really been found not guilty, they've essentially been acquitted due to lack of evidence (which is how our legal system works thankfully :P ).

ASADA/ WADA will probs appeal this though.

they need to find grounds for an appeal and the higher up the courts you go the harder it is to overturn a verdict and the more evidence they need

if they have not been able to find enough evidence yet i cant see how they can

Yeah, the only way they're going to be successful is if there was sufficient evidence, but the afl have just said there wasn't to end this whole thing.

To sum up the last 2 years

ASADA discover Thymosin Beta-4 being used by Esemdom

After 2 years the AFL Tribunal finds not enough evidence that players took Thymosin Beta-4

On that basis think ASADA will appeal,

I thought essendon came forward to them? Because they were unclear if it was shady or not. WOuldnt that mean they admitted to taking it and seeking clarification if it was or was not okay to do so?

What about the fines already paid and even Hird's 12 month suspension. The disrepute when you don't have a disrepute?

It had nothing to do with the drug issues, it was the governance (Or the running of the club at the time), having no knowledge of what was going on etc etc.

They'll stand. But, we've pretty much paid the fine, Hird's served his suspension, we're back in the draft fully this year. Players are now clear barring extreme evidence from ASADA which may say otherwise.

Bring on 2015!

Governance of substances not properly documented. That is not a sufficient practice when maintaining an elite Club.

I am a supporter, this needs to stop dead here. If ASADA and WADA decide not to appeal, then lets just get back to footy ffs

How the club was run during the time, the whole duty of care toward the players and not knowing what was happening and having no idea what could possibly happen.
