Reports circulating that following the NRL decisions Essendon players are being offered a 6 month Ban meaning they will miss finals for second year but will be available for start of next season.  Still to be confirmed though.

Not saying Gillon knows what he is talking about, but Fairfax have an agenda against Essendon (rightly or wrongly)

kilbluff1985

shows how much evidence they have they wouldn't be making deals to anyone if they had enough

No, its pretty common to make deals in things like that - saves time, money and often comes up with a more common sense approach.

IF that deal was true, it would be good for all to take it. Otherwise it would keep going and they could end up with 2 years

T Dog

One ongoing issue as the players will be known as drug cheats.
Big call to make if the charges dont / cant name what you took, when, how etc.
Expediency vs proof.......tricky. :-\

Ringo

Just come up on my feed that ASADA deny offering Essendon players deal.s so end to speculation at this stage.

That ship has sailed, the perception of a vast majority of people will forever see them as drug cheats. Not fair, but that's the case.

Sadly...but a formal acceptance really locks it in ...wonder what impact it will have on future careers?

Nobody with half a brain would see the players as drug cheats- just the club as immoral cheats who don't give a flower about the well being of their players :)

Just catching up on everything that is happeneing with the Sharks in the NRL.

17 players have been given a deal to back date their 12 month ban to November 2013 and thus miss the rest of the year including the 4 nations for players representing their country.

10 players have accepted the deal including NSW captain and Kangaroos rep Paul Gallen.

Will be interesting to see what team the sharks put on the park this weekend

Ringo

Still not clear Tabs as apparently WADA have to clear as well and with the opposition and outcries nothing is certain.

Also reports of some ex-Cronulla players exploring legal avenues as to whether they can sue the club.

Just saying this here as it may be relevant down the track for Essendon.

I heard WADA had approved of it?
