Double downgrade?

Over the next 2 weeks I face two of the lower end teams in my league and will/should beat them comfortably with my current lineup.  I'm thinking of doouble downgrading Watson --> Miles and Ambrose --> Martin, which not only gives me a heap of cash in the bank, but also a decent ceiling for scoring at the same time.

Then next week I can either make a 2nd lot of double downgrades like Xellis --> 115K player to sit in M10 position gathering dust for the season which will load me up for cash from there on in to upgrade underperformers and my last two rooks to complete my field.  The other option is that I can bring Barlow in after one cash grab with Miles and downgrade the other option.

Good idea or not?  Anything I should be worried about with Miles and Martin, they both are a bit more expensive than your usuall downgrades, but their potential to score high outweighs that in my situation.

I think the double downgrade option works well. The only problem is who are you aiming to get in over the next few weeks through it. As you don't want their value to go up too much in the 1-2 weeks that you are downgrading.

I wish I could do a double downgrade, as it would work really well at this time of the year. And there are options, Martin in the forwards or Rucks for R3 or F7/8. But I am playing a top team in my league this week. So I have downgraded derrix to martin and then gone watson to rocky. So not too bad.

problem with double downgrades now is that if you cop injuries to premo's next week, then you are leaving a lot of cash in the bank for a further week. I opted to go Watson to Swallow, and Hampson to Martin....sideways in a lot of ways but made me enough cash for upgrades next week.

Yeah i thought about that, and from calcualtions my downgrades should rise more than my future upgrades so it saves that little bit extra!  Good point though, because it would pointless otherwise.

just realised I also have the option moving Martin to the R3 position and turning Derrickx in to a premo fwd instead of finding the extra cash to turn the cheaper Cameron in to a premo, this just keeps getting better.

Definitely a possibility, but it's a risk I'm willing to and need to take in order to take my league comp.  No slouching now, need to keep active right up to the final round.  Also that issue can happen at any point, not with injury but with players in the upper echelon of the ladder being rested...

It sounds good for you for this week. If you can get away with two weeks of double downgrade, go for it, as your cash stocks will be massive. Especially if you are playing the bottom teams in your comp. It is just a matter of getting the right downgrades or sideways trades for maximum cash increase.

I was going to go watson to swallow, and hope he keeps it at 100av over the next few weeks, this would have given me 200k in the bank for defender upgrades next week. But I decided to get Rocky now, while I can. And just use the normal downgrade/ upgrade option in the next few weeks. So need hallahan and langford to earn a bit more coin before downgrading them to 115k options i think.

Yeah would be ideal if Hallahan comes back in this week, but looks like some Hawks are getting over their injury woes.  Rocky has been a beast and has to be in everyones final lineup, but Swallow would be a great option value wise.  If i was going to sideways Watson instead of downgrading then it would be 1) Barlow 2) Swallow 3) Stevie J as I have the rest of the big guns required.  Swan is another guy to look at.

I was going to go swallow this week, then stevie j next week. But might wait 2 weeks for stevie j, as hi sbreak even for next week is 154, then if he makes to 154 the next week break even is 101. So when he probably doesn't make the 154 his break even the following week will increase. So possibly 2 weeks of prices drops, but at least 1 you would think.

my mids are ablett, beams, pendles, cornes, barlow, goddard, rocky, polec, and beams, hallahan. So i will try upgrading polec to  stevie j in 1 -2 weeks, depending on how they all play this week. And again it would be great if hallahan got another ghame, just to increase another 15-20k. To help with downgrades.

jvalles69

Yeah, i don't have the space for both Stevie and Barlow, prior ro trades my mids read Ablett, Rocky, Pendles, Beams, Swan, Goddard, Jelwood, Watson with Hallahan and Xellis on the bench.  Barlow will be my final mid and may think about turning Jelwood or Goddard into Stevie when I have luxury trades.
