until india plays at home again and smashed the minow cricket sides of the world!

Mailman the 2nd

New Zealand is 10 times the side India is at the moment

when does the ICC review their rules? surely they can loosen the restrictions on runners

I mean if a guy can't run, he can't run

I liked the old rule

A batsmen if injured was allowed a runner subject to approval by umpires and opposing captain.  This at times mostly did not happen gaining opposing Captains approval.  Instead of enforcing this rule more tightly they just stopped it.

Fair enough no runner allowed if a player carried an injury into the game and aggravated that injury but others that occur in the game runners should be allowed.  Just waiting for the day when a player sues the governing authorities for not maintaining a safe work place ubder the act,

With Williamson and Boult NZ could be on their way to a Hadlee-style golden era.

Doubt any player would sue, you'd argue that not allowing runners is actually enforcing a safer workplace - if you're injured to the point you cannot run they're forcing you to leave the field where you will presumably receive medical attention.
I'm not too bothered either way on runners though.

Rungatunga pretty much killed the runner. As ian Healy put it......You dont get a runner because you're a fat .......
