Round 11      AFL Round 13

Beijing Thunder   v   Mexico City Suns   Beijing Olympic Park
PNL Reindeers   v   New York Revolution   Stade de Gerland
Dublin Destroyers   v   Buenos Aires Armadillos   Crooke Park
New Delhi Tigers   v   Berlin Brewers   Nepal   EurAsian Premiership Match
Tokyo Samurai   v   Moscow Spetsnaz   Tokyo Olympic Stadium   EurAsian Premiership Match
Cairo Sands   v   Sao Paulo Pumas   Borg El Arab Stadium   AAP Alliance Premiership Match
Seoul Magpies   v   Toronto Wolves   Seoul World Cup Stadium
Wellington Warriors   v   London Royals   The Basin Reserve
Pacific Islanders   v   Cape Town Cobras   BSP Stadium, Suva, Fiji   Africonia Premiership Match

Beijing are a bit in the wilderness lately, with many of its squad in poor form. They need to really show something this week against the Suns if this is going to be anything but a thrashing.

New York are still ravaged, missing many players in critical positions. PNL are looking in strong form (this was written before the result of the Buenos Aires match was known), but they can't afford to drop a match like this.

Dublin v Buenos Aires is a mammoth match, and will help decide how the top 4 shapes up. Dublin have been in rampaging form recently, but showed some cracks against Berlin last round. Buenos Aires form also has been shakey. But still, it is likely these 2 teams might meet in the finals - even the Granny.

New Delhi had a shocking week last week - with most of the squad just well below par. Berlin have a lot of injury concerns, and are looking shakey themselves, but if they lose this match they won't make the finals. New Delhi could win this match if things go right.

Tokyo have lost its last 5 matches to go from 3-2 to 3-7. Sam Mitchell's injury has been a cruel blow, but if they are to salvage its season, they need to savalge it now! Moscow are starting to build strong form, and are still an outside chance of a top 4 spot.

Close to match of the round, as the Cairo Sands host Sao Paulo in a replay of last year's epic Semi Final. To remind everyone of that, Cairo were the form team of the competition and had won 9 in a row leading into the Semi Final, while Sao Paulo had only won 2 of its last 7. But the Pumas turned it around this game, and went onto win the flag. Can the Sands get some revenge?

Seoul and Toronto were very disappointing last week - another loss be either will really impact how they finish the year, and I think only room for 1 of these teams in the finals.

The much improved Warriors take on the sporadic London. London can't drop this match if they are to make a play for the finals, while the Warriors would love to get off the bottom of the ladder (assuming they did eventually lose its round 10 loss).

Cape Town (assuming they did end up defeating Wellington) only need to win this match to take out the Africonia Flag. If they lose it, they could still take it out, but it will go down to percentages. Pacific have struggled recently, and want to remain out of spoon calculation.

You're probably right.  :(

Selecting the right forwards and interchange this week will make or break us.  :-X

I like how we've been robbed of match of the round again.  :P

I don't really have those problems at the moment. Only had 4 forwards named this week, as well as 3 defenders (White was sub so not counting him there). Basically I just select whoever is getting named haha!

Could have boosted our percentage and put up a more respectable score had we not played Cripps (who I actually considered dropping). I think Hutch will get a game next week too, just not sure who's gonna miss. Whoever does could be rested I guess.

Hoping for a bit of luck this week, with Ben Kennedy, Tim Broomhead, Jackson Thurlow all mentioned as being in the mix for this week, while Scott Gumbleton, Robbie Tarrant, Travis Varcoe and John Butcher could all also be close to a senior return. Josh Caddy returning to the VFL this week as well! :D

For the new applicants we have some rules that aren't obvious:

- Sub rule, all green vest and red vest in first half players replaced with emergency. you need to say if you are using the sub rule each week.

- flood. You can name 5 defenders and 3 forwards. This can be done 3 times a year

- attack. You can name 3 defenders and 5 forwards. This can be done three times a year.

- co captains.  Name two captains at 1.5 times bonus instead of 1 captain at 2 times bonus
